Bottles littered the ground as Wallis stepped over them. He looked around, just your average teen party. Bottles, a truck and a radio. Music wasn’t playing from it, he didn't know how it would be able to after being shattered. “Any ideas?” A young voice sounded from behind him. Collin is his name, he had just started working there. Wallis scanned the area again, nothing changed though. “No.. maybe they all just ran away?” Collin nodded. “Not much to see except the radio.” Collin said, looking down at it. “Have you checked inside?” Wallis said, not knowing what to expect. Collin shook his head. “No, the families wouldn’t allow it. An invasion of privacy they said.” Collin stepped over more bottles to the door. “I’ll have a talk with them, maybe they’ll let us in.” Wallis radioed in. “I would like to know the whereabouts of Rebecca’s parents.” A voice chimed back through the radio. “Alright, this may take a second.” Next thing they knew, they were on the porch. The house was a light blue color with white curtains blocking their view inside. A red car parked in the driveway, signalling they were home. Collin knocked on the door, though it slowly opened after a knock. No one answered though, the hall was empty. Wallis felt as if dread washed over him. Collin followed behind Wallis as they entered. The hall had orange and brown striped walls and photos of what they assumed was Rebecca. The house was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. He entered the first room. A TV was on but it was just static. He flipped the light switch and the whole room lit up. A grey couch sat in the middle of the room. A medium size TV sat on a dresser. Dolls lined the wall and a small figure sat on the couch. Collin continued down the hall as Wallis went inside. Pictures faded away as he went further inside. He pushed open a door and saw figures lying in bed. Both were still, no signals they were even breathing. Before he could even run over there, Wallis came over and stepped inside. Something crunched under his feet. They both looked down only to see a mask. Collin picked it up and inspected it. It had a white face and black lines running down to its mouth. Tears he assumed. Sharp teeth lined the edges of the mouth. And weirdly shaped circles for the eyes. Collin turned his attention back to the bodies in the bed. They still haven’t moved. Wallis followed Collins' gaze and walked over to the bed. He shook them, nothing changed. They were dead. He called over the radio for paramedics but he knew they were long gone. The death was brutal, 4 holes punctured through their bodies, blood pouring out as they looked. He looked at Collin. He was staring at it. Realizing the blanket wasn’t made red. Wallis felt bad for Collin, he was still relatively new to this. He led Collin outside and grabbed water from his car while waiting for backup. Collin took a sip and just stared forward. “You alright?” Collin slowly turned to him. “Y.. yea. After all, I gotta get used to this.” Wallis knew that this was likely the worse he’d see physically. But regardless he was happy that Collin was trying. Despite the horror that lay inside, the day was nice. Copies of this house lined the street with white picket fences. Yellow, red and orange flowers shone brightly and soft bird chirping could be heard in the distance. It was almost peaceful. But company soon arrived, people saw the police car and went to see what happened. It was small at first, easily controllable. Then more and more people came out to see what the issue was. Collin was trying his best but still was a little out of it. Wallis finally got things to calm down. “Everyone, please step away. If we feel the need, we will reveal what could’ve happened.” Everyone calmed down at least a little. “What happened there?!” A voice shot out from the crowd. A little old lady walked from the crowd. “Is my son okay?!” Collin felt worse than ever. Knowing either him or Wallis was about to break her heart. “Miss, I’m sorry.” Collin looked into her eyes. Knowing full well what he had done. Sirens were soon heard arriving in the distance as she ran off crying. 4 people walked inside, in pairs they were holding stretchers. 30 minutes later, they ran out, the stretchers now hold to black bags with flies on top.

Collin sat down on his couch, debating if what happened yesterday was real. It was painful to know he likely broke that lady. But either way, he had to return. Him and Wallis got permission to look around on the inside. He cleaned up, got himself a drink and went over to the site. Caution tape surrounded the perimeter of the party. Wallis arrived after Collin. He looked worried, but Collin carried on to the door. He grabbed the key from Wallis and unlocked the door with a click. He slowly opened the door. “Let me go first.” Wallis climbed inside the trailer. He shone his flashlight around, illuminating the cabinets, food and dressers. It seemed bigger on the inside than the outside. The walls had a relatively similar look to the house but Collin did his best to ignore it. Wallis walked over to where the bed area would be. The bed was a mess. Blankets were all ruffled. Sheet’s were stained. And cloth littered the floor. The walls Were a seafoam green color and the door leading to the bathroom was.. Broken. Busted down, wooden spikes across the ground. Wallis walked over to the door and measured the hole. It was larger than any human and the hinges almost broke off. Collin walked to the front of the Trailer. There was a couch. It was a black leather couch and some flakes were peeling. And there was a blanket on it. Two figures under it, 1 moving the other still. Collin lifted up the blanket, gun at hand. One of the figures was a shivering puppy trying to get away from the other.. Mask. Collin walked over to the puppy and lifted it’s collar. “Rudy,” it said. It was a brown puppy, it’s leg was hurt. It didn’t look too damaged although it seemed to hurt when pressure was put on it. Collin held Rudy. Wallis came inside and looked down at the mask. Then he looked up at the puppy. He picked up the mask and held it to the dog. Rudy whimpered and tried to scramble away, causing Collin to almost drop it. “How long do you think it’s been here?” It looked starving, and you could almost see it’s ribs. “How long ago were the teens reported missing?” Collin looked at Wallis. “Well, before this, no one came in contact with them for at least a week.” Collin brought Rudy outside and went to grab something from his car. Wallis continued to search. He almost gave up, just the door and mask was found. Not sure even if the dog was part of the scene. Regardless, he couldn't get help from the dog. He was about to leave and report to Collins of his findings. When he saw something glint out the corner of his eye. A phone. Looked new, although a few cracks were across the screen. He put on his gloves and brought it outside. It was dead or broken. “Hey Collin, look at this.” Collin poured some water in a bowl and placed it in front of Rudy on the table. “What is it?” Collin walked over, looking at the thing in Wallis’s hand. “A phone? Where did you find it?” Collin peaked inside the door. “It was buried under some cloth in the bedroom.”  Wallis looked at the car. “You have a charger for this in there?” Collin looked at the charging port on the phone. “No, but I might have one at home” Collin went to grab the phone, Wallis yanked it away. “Put on gloves, it might be usable for evidence. We don’t want your fingerprints on it.” Collin put on his gloves and put the phone in a bag.He then put the phone in the glove compartments, and grabbed a sweatshirt that lay on the floor boards. He laid it out like a bed sheet on the passenger chair. He scooped up Ruby and placed it in the chair. The whole ride to the Vet, he kept his hand on Rudy. He carried Rudy up the stairs into the office. “Her ankle is fractured.” The Vet said, handing Collin a X-Ray. He looked at the photo and back at Rudy. “How long will it take to heal..?” He turned his attention to the vet. “Well, at this young, the fracture could do some damage, I’d say around 1-2 months. Bones don’t just grow quickly ya’ know.” Rudy was trying to chase after a ball on the ground, avoiding pressure on the foot. “How much would it cost to get a cast?” He picked up Rudy. “Well, we might need to do some additional work on the leg. Likely around 90$ or more. Once again, this isn’t cheap and the break could do some damage if not treated properly.” He looked down at Rudy, squirming around in his arms. “Alright, should I come over tomorrow?” The vet down to look at the ankle once again. “Yea, or the day after. Depending on how busy you might be.” Collin stroked Rudy’s fur. “Alright. I’ll come in tomorrow. What time?” The Vet walked to the door. “I’ll book an appointment for.. 10:30 AM. That work?” Collin grabbed his keys and said. “Yes, I’ll be here. How long will it be?” He looked behind him. The vet had left already. The door was swinging open. “Well Rudy. Guess you're staying with me for today. I’ll find you someplace good. Don’t worry.” He walked to his car and set Rudy on the seat. She laid down and yawned. Collin looked at her for a second and smiled. He started the car and drove home. He reached his house. It was a 2 story building. It was a grey-blue color with tinted windows. Had white shutters and a dark grey roof. Collin looked at Rudy. “Welcome home.”He reached for the phone in the glove compartment. Collin examined the outside, it was a relatively new phone. Had a bright pink phone case and a glittery purple pop-socket on the back. The screen had a long thin crack across it from corner to corner. He looked at the bottom and found it required a USB charger. He went inside and fumbled through the cabinet oddly full of chargers. He finally found one and placed it down. Collin looked at the couch, remembering how it was earlier that day. He looked at Rudy next to it and smiled. “Maybe today wasn’t too bad.” He thought. His phone started to ring, startling him. It was Wallis. He answered and put it up to his ear. “What is it?” Collin asked. “I need you down here at the site. Is the phone charging?” He checked the battery. 2% only. “Yes, but slowly.” Wallis sighed through the phone. “Okay, leave it there and head over.” He scooped up Rudy and continued to the site. He looked at Rudy. She was looking out the window watching the cars whiz by. He turned into the trailer park and went to the site. “What’s up?” Collin gave Rudy some water in the car seat. Collin hastily walked over to Wallis where he was holding some papers. “What are those? Where’d you get them?” Wallis handed Collin one of the papers. It was a photo. It seemed to have been taken at night as everything was dark. “Hey, where did you.. Find these?” Wallis looked at him. “After you left to take care of the dog, I stayed behind and looked around. These were under the couch, looking like they were trying to be hidden.” Collin looked back down at the photo. He noticed something in a door frame. It was taken at night, the barely visible trees in the background looked barren. On the side of the photo was a light, it wasn’t like a bright one. I have a small dot on the left side. With a grey round-ish shape surrounding it. In the middle of the shape, it was 2 black lines going down into a pool of darkness. A slim body could be slightly seen below the so-called “face”. It had 1-2 visible tentacles on each side of the body. If that wasn’t disturbing enough, the arms were longer than its legs and had 3 long tentacles laying flat against the ground. The only way they were visible was because of the 3 white lines against the hands and tentacles. “What's this?” Collin pointed at the figure. “I don’t know. I wanted to see your thoughts on it.” Collin grabbed another photo. It was looking at the doorway of the trailer. You can see a hand holding it shut. Another person looking out the window. You could see the force the person kept while holding it shut. The door had a web of cracks in the middle of it. The Doorknob seemed to almost fall off. “What are they..” Wallis gestered toward the door. Collin and him walked up to it. “What is it?” They took a closer look at the door. A small circle painted over in white to match the trailer was there. It had a green dim light flashing below it. He scratched around it with a pocket knife and the object fell in-hand. He looked at it closely. It had a small button on the side along with a small bump flashing green. Wallis stepped away and Collin looked at him with a confused look. “What?” Wallis pointed toward the door. “What is it?” Collins' jaw dropped. It was cracked from top to bottom. Nearly had a gaping hole in it. “How did-” Wallis grabbed the device in Collins hand and held it closer to the door. It looked.. Better. Fixed. He kept taking and putting it up to the door before Collin grabbed his hand. “Stop, we need to figure out what it is.” Wallis looked a bit closer. “Afton, it says Afton it?” Collin took it, trying to find “Afton” on it. “I don’t see it.” Collin gave it back. “It is kinda small. I’ll hand it in to the office, see what they find.” Wallis looked up. “It’s getting late, you should head back.” Wallis starters to head towards his car. “Oh, how's the dog?” Collin picked up Rudy. “She is getting something done to her leg tomorrow.” Wallis looked at the sleeping dog. “Hope everything goes well. I’ll talk tomorrow. Bye.” Wallis started up his car and drove away. Collin placed Rudy in the seat. He drove home. And fell asleep quickly.
