Five Nights at Freddy's Wiki
"I repeat, the classic suits are not to be touched, activated or worn."

This article refers an idea or a list of content that has been scrapped for various reasons. They can be presented in the decompiled files, concept designs, or other non-interactive media.

This is a list of unused and removed content from Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted.

Decompiled Content[]

Main Game[]

Spring Bonnie[]

Spring Bonnie was meant to appear as the main threat in the "Pizza Party" level (previously known as "Spring Bonnie" or "Fun with Spring Bonnie"). He was also meant to have an action figure and a plush unlockable in the prize counter area. His role in the final game was taken over by Glitchtrap.

Early Glichtrap design[]

Inside the files, a leftover and untextured model for Springtrap can be found. Said model is also labeled "Glitchtrap". It was most likely used as a placeholder before Glitchtrap's model was finalised. Due to materials applied to him, appears almost fully invisible ingame. Additionaly he was also meant to jumpscare the player in the old Merge ending.

Glitchtrap in the character gallery[]

Glitchtrap was originally meant to be seen inside the gallery. He was most likely replaced by Lolbit seeing as her spot is a "?" in the oculus build.[1]

Blacklight Animatronics[]

Unused models for the blacklight variants for Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. It is assumed that four original animatronics in The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience will be reskinned when enabling the nightmare mode. Although three other animatronics look completely finished, Blacklight Foxy's full texture (but the iris) is unimplemented.

Freddles' Animation[]

There is an unused animation of one of the Freddles going under the bed, as if the Freddles were planned to appear in the Night Terrors modes.

Big Toy[]

Also known as "toyproxy", a small, roundish model can be found. The toy proxy is missing all textures, and is a simple doll-like figure. It was most likely used as a placeholder for the Plushtrap section as it has animations matching this section, including one for jumping off the chair.

There is also an alternative version called BigToyProxy which was most likely used as a placeholder in the Night Terror sections, which contains animations similar to those of Funtime Freddy and Nightmare Fredbear .

Multiplayer Mode[]

There are several files placed in a folder called "MultiPlayer". The folder contain files named "CharacterInfo", "CharacterInfoTable", "MPGameMode", and so on. This suggests that the multiplayer mode was planned, although it was uncertain if it was either entirely scrapped or planned for a future update.

FNaF 2 Map[]

There is a scanned, edited photo taken from one of the pages in The Freddy Files, showing the path that the withered animatronics can take for the FNAF 2 mode.

Showbiz Pizza Images[]

A slideshow of Showbiz Pizza animatronic and mech photos are revealed in the Prize Counter's television screen after pressing the red button from the Exotic Butters basket, as seen in some YouTubers' early access gameplay videos. The photos are taken by Aaron Fechter. One of the photos, labeled HiddenImage9, was used as one of many black and white screenshots contained within the source code of the first Five Nights at Freddy's VR teaser. However, Scott Cawthon removed the images from the game's final release due to the gamers and fans comparing the images to the actual Showbiz Pizza photos.[2] All of the images can still be found in the game files, from the "Hidden Images" file folder.

Old Cupcake[]

Much older texture map for Chica's Cupcake exists. It has a much purple-colored frosting, and the iris textures are taken from the funtime animatronics.

Chicken Box[]

Earlier version of the "Processed Poultry Proxy!" chicken box textures are found. This texture map is very different, consisting of a cartoon chicken instead of Chica, titled as "Tasty! Fried Chicken", and two photos of realistic fried chicken drumsticks and wings with "Hot and tasty!" and "Fresh and spicy!" texts.

Flashlight Freeze Map[]

The "Flashlight Freeze Map" features the classic animatronics from the first game, along with vents. This map may have been a screencaptured location leftover tested by Steel Wool Studios.

Princess Quest Theme[]

The game's mobile-exclusive Princess Quest minigame was meant to have a title theme. Referred as "Castle_Music_TitleTheme.ogg" from the files, the music itself is a revamped version of "Through the Cracks" track from Freddy in Space 2 composed with different instruments and a faster tempo.

Showtime Song[]

The button labeled "Showtime" was originally supposed to play a full song that is presumably the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza main theme.

Old Endings[]

While all the endings remain mostly the same, there are still some notable changes.

Pizza Party Ending[]

Originally instead of Glitchtrap dancing, plushies (+ Plushtrap) of all the characters would watch the player perform on stage (the music playing was also the cut showtime instrumental instead of the fnaf 2 ending theme). While never seen ingame Spring Bonnie was at some point meant to be seen in this ending instead of Glitchtrap.[3]

Merge Ending[]

Originally instead of switching to pov Glitchtrap's pov, the player would just get jumpscared by him (placeholder model).

Trapped Ending[]

The door model is different, Glitchtrap is also seen as his placeholder model.

Curse of Dreadbear DLC[]

Burnt Freddles[]

Within the game files, there is a different texture for Freddles that is left unused. It was apparently supposed to be for Build-a-Mangle level in the "Spooky Mansion" section (presumably Hard Mode which is not available in Curse of Dreadbear). The texture looks burnt, thus the name Burnt Freddles were given.

The logo texture for the DLC's old name remains in the files.

Grimm Foxy's Howl Animation[]

Grimm Foxy has an older and longer alert animation that went unused. Instead of raising his scythe, he would stand there and lifts his head up to howl like a wolf.

Early Icons[]

  • Afraid of the Dark
    • Pumpkin Patch - Lacks shadows and lighting. Balloon Boy is visibly seen there.
    • Pirate Ride - Looks heavily unfinished, and Foxy without his pirate outfit is seen.
    • Corn Maze - Two early level icon versions exists:
      • The first version shows the field of corn plants and appears much faded.
      • The second version takes place in one of the maze areas. Grimm Foxy's shadow is seen.
  • Spooky Mansion - Vampire Helpy's early icon for this mode look slightly messy and low in effort.
    • Hallway - The hallway lacks shadow castings, and Nightmare Foxy is not there.
    • Build-A-Mangle - Shows a different view of the furnace.
    • Trick or Treat - Five multi-colored Freddy masks in place of Bonnie's, Chica's, Foxy's, BB's, and Mangle's are used as placeholders.
    • Dreadbear's Level - The icon shows the brain from the default skybox.
  • Danger! Keep Out! - The icon for one of the night levels displays Jack-O-Bonnie and Jack-O-Chica with empty suits.

Coming Soon Icons[]

The "coming soon" icons for upcoming new levels still remain in the files after the new levels are patched.

Pre-Release Content[]

Main Game[]

Wrong-Colored Nightmare Fredbear[]

In the first trailer and one of the screenshots before the game's official release, Nightmare Fredbear's model seems to have textures resembling Nightmare Freddy, lacking his buttons. This was fixed later on during development, due to a trailer needing to be released as soon as possible. However, Nightmare Fredbear's action figure icon from the Prize Counter is left unchanged.

Spring Bonnie[]

In a few promotional images for the game, Spring Bonnie is shown as a part of the animatronic amalgamation. The original Spring Bonnie doesn't appear ingame. A malicious software in a form of a grinning rabbit suit is a counterpart of Spring Bonnie, named Glitchtrap. In this image, Spring Bonnie was later replaced by Nightmarionne. The Spring Bonnie image in the teaser was found to have been made by fangame developer Kane Carter.

Fan Cupcake Model[]

The Cupcake from the PAX East demo and some screenshots has a slightly different model with early color textures for the frosting and wrapper. It turns out to be a fan model made by Superkerbin on 2015, and ultimately replaced by Scott's official model a while later.

Curse of Dreadbear DLC[]

Dreadbear in Spooky Mansion's Hallway[]

From few screenshots for the Curse of Dreadbear DLC, Dreadbear was shown appearing in Spooky Mansion's "Hallway" segment but never did ingame.

  2. "About the secret images; Aaron Fechter himself, the creator of Showbiz Pizza, was nice enough to take those pictures for me, specifically for this project. I had wanted some cool images of animatronics parts and went straight to him for them. However, I removed them when people traced them back to Showbiz Pizza (I'd hoped they were obscure enough to not be so easily identified). I obviously didn't want to connect the two and make people think that Freddy's was based on Showbiz (that's also why I didn't include his name). I loved Showbiz Pizza, and Aaron Fechter has been terrific every time I've gotten to talk to him. I just didn't want to send any negative attention his way, so I deleted the pictures." - Concerning Showtime and the "Secret" images. Reddit.
