Physical Appearance

The twisted animatronics' design is similar to the nightmare animatronics from the series' main universe but more feral and almost organic-looking. With the Illusion Disc imported, the twisted animatronics has two alternate forms:

• Normal - Resembles a regular, deteriorated animatronic with soft, plastic suit armors and no painting.
• Twisted - Appearing as part-robot, part-organic creatures with large, gnarly teeth and claws, while sporting disease-like tumors or growths.

Functionality

Created by Afton Robotics, LLC, the twisted animatronics are designed to lure and kill their victims using Springlock mechanisms. Their Illusion Discs emit high-pitched audio to change the victims' perspective views, making them see the twisted animatronics in a different way depending on their memories. As with the Nightmare Animatronics, the twisted Animatronics seem to have shared personality traits. In this case, they are all subservient purely to their creator, William Afton, but have also exhibited relentlessness when chasing their victims, and ruthlessness when killing them. Although built purely to kill whomsoever Afton tells them to, they have been known to lash out violently whenever provoked.
