“I’m going to beat you, Connor. You just wait and see. I’ll be the winner and you’ll be the freaking loser!” |
Toby A. Billings is the protagonist of Hide-and-Seek, the third story in Fazbear Frights 6: Blackbird. He is a highly competitive teenage boy who's need to win causes him to cheat at a game, leading to a dark force attaching itself to him.
Physical Appearance[]
Toby is skinny with brown hair usually covered by a beanie. When Shadow Bonnie attaches itself to Toby, his skin turns pale, dark circles form under his eyes, and his hair sticks up in crazy directions. As time goes on his skin gets paler and his cheeks sink in.
Personality[]
Toby is highly competitive with a strong desire and need to win over his older brother, Connor. He always feels helpless and powerless, which causes him to have a short fuse and lash out. Because of his own sense of competition, his disinterest in sports, and jealousy towards his brother and father’s relationship, Toby tends to barricade himself from others and unknowingly makes himself an outcast. He also isn’t very outgoing and rarely makes friends in fear of being let down. Toby has little care for school, only going through the motions enough to graduate. When destroying Hide-and-Seek and getting Shadow Bonnie attached to him, Toby becomes overwhelmed by guilt and darkness, causing him to lose his appetite and energy.
History[]
Toby attempts to get a high score at the newest game at the pizzeria's arcade; Hide-and-Seek. Despite being seemingly easy, Toby constantly fails at every turn, to the point where even cheating and hacking gets him nowhere. Toby wrecks the arcade machine in a fit of rage, only for the Shadow Bonnie character within it to be released into the real world.
The shadow, with its white pupils and sharp teeth in its mouth, attaches itself to Toby. He is unable to do anything about it. Toby tries to drown the shadow in a pool, only to almost drown himself. As Toby gets more and more frustrated, Shadow Bonnie grows in strength to the point where it starts sticking itself onto Toby's skin. Toby decides to accept whatever the shadow does to him, but in doing so, causes it to weaken. Toby realizes that the shadow was powered by his anger.
The arcade game Toby destroyed is fixed, with his old save file still there. Toby could forfeit, releasing Shadow Bonnie, but he wants to win. He plays the game, stabbing himself into one of the props. Shadow Bonnie leaves and Toby bathes in victory as he dies.
