“Can I take your order?” — The Penguin, Five Nights at Candy's

The Penguin is an antagonist in Five Nights at Candy's and Five Nights at Candy's 2. He is an animatronic waiter who works at Candy's Burgers & Fries.

Physical Appearance

As his name suggests, the Penguin is a small, simplistic animatronic penguin with dark blue eyes and a small orange beak. He wears a black tuxedo with a red bow tie, stereotypical of his profession as a waiter. He has small orange feet, and his two flippers are subtly separated from his torso for movement.

In Five Nights at Candy's 2, the Penguin is under a state of disrepair having a scratched and dirtied exterior. His eyes are gone, with metal sockets left in their place. Several missing chunks are missing from the top of his head, one of which running across his left eye to the back of his head. His beak is missing and the left half of his bow tie is missing.

Personality

Designed to be a waiter robot, the Penguin speaks in a monotone, text-to-speech voice that acts passively if he can take the customer's order. The Penguin likely has little personality of his own.

Functionality

“Uh, we have these penguin animatronics as waiters. Uh, they take people's orders and what-not. We used to have three of them, but two of them broke down and haven't been fixed yet.” — Phone Guy, Five Nights at Candy's

The Penguin is one of three penguin animatronics built to take orders from the customers at Candy's Burgers & Fries, moving freely around the restaurant from the kitchen. Much like all other animatronics from his line of animatronics, his eyes glow in the dark. According to the Phone Guy, this penguin animatronic is functioning incorrectly and has been interfering with "the system", as brought up by other employees.^{[citation needed]}
