The idea of the cookbook was first mentioned in Scott Cawthon's response to user At_Witts_End on the Five Nights at Freddy's subreddit on July 2, 2020, commenting that he approved the cookbook suggestion and e-mailed Scholastic about it.[4] Two years later, the Five Nights at Freddy's cookbook's page is eventually discovered at Scholastic's website with other new upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's books on October 5, 2022.
Trivia[]
- Old copies of the physical book and old versions of the ebook held various mistakes added within the pages. Those being:
- A bootleg Glamrock Freddy action figure on page 15. This figure can be seen in old previews of the book, which can be seen in the gallery below.
- A Steam screenshot of Five Nights at Freddy's Plus on page 29.
- A fan-made render of "Unwithered Chica" on page 54.
- A fan-made model of Twisted Foxy on page 71.
