The Joy of Creation is a independent psychological horror series created by Nicodemo Sitá. The series began on November 30, 2015. The series has since received a large following. The series became an official part of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise in August 2020 with the introduction of Scott Cawthon's Fazbear Fanverse Initiative.

The series currently consists of a total of 3 games (2 main game and 1 spin-off) and a handful of merchandise.

Video Games

The first entry was The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, which was released on July 18, 2017.

A separate spin-off game, titled The Joy of Creation: Halloween Edition, was released on October 31, 2016.

Canceled

The original entry, The Joy of Creation, was canceled in 2015. The remake, The Joy of Creation: Reborn was canceled in 2016. The collection, The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection, was canceled in 2024.

Console Ports

In August 2020, Scott Cawthon announced that the The Joy of Creation series would be ported to mobile and all major consoles.

Merchandise

Starting in September 2022, official merchandise could be found online and in stores. The merchandise is available on online stores such as Funko.com, Youtooz.com, and Hex.store. They can also be found in stores such as Walmart.

Future

Nicodemo is currently working on a reboot, titled THE JOY OF CREATION.

Trivia

• The title The Joy of Creation derives from the misheard dialogue of the original Five Nights at Freddy's game's Night 5 phone call, where it plays a heavily distorted and reversed version of an exert from Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda with few omitted words and syllables. When decoded, at the end of this call, it was first believed that the phone call was saying "the joy of creation." However it was actually saying "the joy of creative service," but the last words were cut off, leaving only "the joy of crea-".
