Plot[]
Epilogue #1[]
Gil is a frustrated 24-year-old construction worker tasked with renovating the ruined remains of an old pizzeria. He and three other people are part of the renovation crew, who work in the old pizzeria instead of on the surface with the construction crew. Their job includes breaking down the discarded animatronic endoskeletons. While Gil is frustrated, 20-year-old Danny is thrilled to be working in the abandoned pizzeria, finding the experience cool and fascinating. Danny has also heard that there's plans to turn the pizzeria into a museum and thinks it's awesome that Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex is being built on top of it. Gil, however, can't help but roll his eyes at Danny's enthusiasm and heads towards the old pizzeria's only exit for fresh air.
Outside, a construction worker named Theo and his friend Bryce shelter under metal scaffolding to avoid heavy rain. Despite having nothing enclosed yet, a big delivery truck arrives with a shipment of state-of-the-art animatronics. Theo signs the delivery order and joins the driver as he opens the back of the truck and examines the brand-new animatronics. Theo is quick to notice that one of them out of place, being old and discolored. Gil, who joined the group once the back was open, takes interest in the seven-foot, strong and sturdy endoskeleton and drags it down to the old pizzeria to repurpose it. Despite not having any actual work experience as a programmer, he has tinkered with programs and robotics all the time at home. Once Gil gets the endoskeleton linked to his laptop, he uploads a cleanup protocol into its code.
Upon activating the endoskeleton, Gil instructs it to break the limbs and heads off the endoskeletons and pile them up by the pizzeria's exit door. The robot repeats Gil's instructions and stares directly at him for several seconds before slowly scanning the entire room. Once finished, it turns its attention back to Gil, then Danny, then the other two members of the reno crew, Owen and Carlos. The team feels a bit nervous and intimated, but the endoskeleton turns its attention to the endoskeletons and begins breaking the limbs and heads off with ease. It makes quick work of four endoskeletons and piling them up. Gil turns his attention away from the robot and towards his coworkers, throwing his arms up in triumph and bragging about his work.
Before Danny is able to congratulate Gil, the endoskeleton grabs onto Gil's arms and rips them off. Danny steps back in horror as blood sprays from Gil's shoulder sockets and Gil screams while the robot tears off his legs. Eventually Gil's screams are cut off as his head is ripped off, and the endoskeleton begins to approach the remaining members of the reno crew. Several construction workers enter the pizzeria as the three attempt to flee. As Danny cuts through the workers, he can hear the endoskeleton tearing apart the reno crew. As he runs, body parts fly past him and blood sprays. Danny makes it to the door and looks back to see the endoskeleton continuing the tear apart everyone in the room. He slams the door shut and keeps running, coming across a cement truck. Danny begs the cement workers to seal the door to the pizzeria before running off.
Epilogue #2[]
Lucia is a high school senior going on a double date at a carnival. While Lucia is paired with Jayce, her friend and star of their school's basketball team Adrian is with Hope, the head cheerleader. Despite dating Jayce, Lucia has lingering feelings towards Adrian that she wants to repress. The group stop to eat a snack and they're approached by Joel, the center of the basketball team, and Wade, the celebrated quarterback of the football team. As much as their presence is undesired they join the group. Also joining the group is Nick, one of the five males on the school's cheerleading squad and one of Hope's best friends, and Kelly, Hope's other best friend. Joel proposes looking around Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex's construction site, having checked it out a few times and heard they've already started bringing in animatronics. Nick is hesitant, having heard something weird happened there not long ago, but Joel and Kelly propose they could solve what happened if they go. One by one, the group agrees to investigate.
The Pizzaplex's construction site is surrounded by a twelve-foot chain-link fence plastered with "DANGER—DO NOT ENTER" signs, but Joel leads the group to some loose fencing and they sneak in, although Lucia cuts the back of her wrist on the fence. Once inside the building they come across the old pizzeria's flat red roof, which is surrounded by the concrete floor. They find a ramp that would lead to the pizzeria's entrance, but a couple feet down they find hardened concrete blocking the path. Wade finds a vent opening in the roof and discovers a chute leading down. Wade is the first to slide down, with Joel following behind him. Once hearing it's safe, Kelly joins them and encourages the others to follow along. Adrian goes down next, and with four of the eight already in the pizzeria everyone else follows.
Lucia is the last of the group to slide down and she immediately picks up on an odor. They find themselves in the storage room, and Kelly points out to a hallway which she believes leads to the dining room. When they reach the dining room they find broken endoskeleton parts scattered and the stench gets stronger. Lucia finds a head and throws up when she realizes that it's human. Lucia points the head out to Jayce and he believes it to be a prop, but quickly falls to the floor upon touching it and discovering it to be real. Kelly then lets out a loud scream and the group joins her to find a tangle of human limbs, torsos, and heads rotting next to ragged metal endoskeleton parts. Lucia does inventory of the parts and concludes there's at least eleven bodies. She then looks around and notices dried blood sprayed all over the room.
Terrified, the group runs back to the storage room only to discover that the bottom of the chute has been crushed. Adrian leads the group back into the hallway and finds an exit door engulfed in cement blocks and more robotic parts. They try moving the cement blocks but they won't budge. Every other door and the windows are blocked off, with some actually cemented close. The group makes their way back to the storage room and Adrian proposes waiting for the construction crew to return in the morning and banging on the metal to get their attention. Suddenly, the group hears the sound of a metallic creak entwined with a long hiss and a rasp. Adrian believes it could be a ventilation system and begins leading them towards the dining room, but stops when they realize the sound is footsteps. They quickly run into the storage room and lock the door, now knowing that they aren't alone.
Epilogue #3[]
The group listen to the footsteps, with Adrian and Nick pressing their backs against the door. When the footsteps reach the door, they stop and the light in the storage room blinks out. After three seconds, the dim light returns but flickers. The footsteps start up again and after twenty-seven seconds the dim light returns to normal. Adrian leads the group to the far back of the storage room and explains his plan to split up and carefully look around for potential exits. Hope is with Nick, Jayce is with Adrian, Lucia is with Kelly, and Joel is with Wade. After some disagreements over the layout of the pizzeria, Jayce manages to create a detailed map with a tablet and pen he brought. Jayce and Adrian take the main dining room, arcade, lobby, and party rooms. Hope and Nick take the stage, backstage area, and kitchen area. Joel and Wade take the employee's lounge, other storage rooms, and furnace room. Lucia and Kelly take the main restrooms, maintenance room, a room with robotic parts, and the office at the end of the front hall.
Lucia and Kelly make their way to the restrooms first, ignoring the flickering lights and noticing posters of the original Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. Meanwhile, Joel finds a pager while searching the black metal lockers of the employee's lounge. Wade, annoyed by Joel's refusal to keep his voice down, attempts to use his Swiss Army multi-tool's screwdriver to remove a grate cover's screws, hoping that the ductwork will lead to an exterior vent. They suddenly hear a metal-on-metal scraping sound from behind a wall and decide to move on to the other storage rooms. After investigating the kitchen, Hope and Nick look around the stage. Nick decides to investigate three large costume wardrobes towards the rear of the backstage area, and Hope feels that they're being watched. Despite the flickering lights they're able to see fairly well inside one of the deep wardrobes, and Nick leans in father in hopes of finding a back door.
Jayce and Adrian's search of the party rooms reveals no exits, and they begin to investigate the arcade when they hear a muffled clank coming from somewhere near the stage. Adrian prompts Jayce to stay quiet and listen. Backstage, Nick is suddenly yanked far into the wardrobe for a few seconds before being thrown back out. Nick stumbles away and turns to face Hope before letting out a deranged chuckle and revealing his arm is gone. Before Hope is able to scream, metal hands shoot out and grip Nick's neck and twists his head off. Hope watches in horror as Nick's tumbles to the wooden stage floor. The robot takes a step towards Hope, and she screams and takes off.
As Kelly and Lucia make their way down the main hall they hear Hope scream and she rushes past them, telling them to run. The rest of the group quickly joins and catch up with Hope, who stops outside of the men's restroom. When she spots Adrian, she hugs him and cries. Lucia notices that Nick isn't present and Hope reveals he's dead, and a long grinding noise sends the group fleeing into the Parts and Service Room in hopes of finding something to use as a weapon. Wade locks the door and Lucia notices the light is now flickering. The room is full of animatronic suits, which Lucia and Kelly had checked prior. Hope explains that a metal endoskeleton covered in dry blood grabbed Nick's neck and ripped his head off. As the group processes the information, Lucia and Hope question if the suits were still empty and if the endoskeleton could have gotten into one. Suddenly, a dog with a lolling tongue and spiked collar moves and the lightbulb goes out. The lights flicker back on as the floppy-eared dog grabs Hope's arms and rips them off before flipping her upside down and tearing her legs off. Hope's screams stop when the dog rips her head off. Drenched in Hope's blood, everyone else scatters to escape.
Epilogue #4[]
The group make their way back into the dining room traumatized by Hope's death. After Wade is finished puking next to the decayed tangle of ripped-off arms and legs, Joel drags him to the back hallway. The rest of the group hear a crunch and make their way to the back hall as well. There, Kelly explains that she and Lucia had found an old radio in the office that might be able to get working and call for help. Joel and Lucia pick up on Kelly's sudden boost in confidence. Jayce points out that the office is right next to Parts and Service, and Joel proposes investigating the systems room at the end of the hall. They hear a thud in the dining room and the group makes their way down the hall. Adrian leads Lucia, Kelly, and Jayce into the employee's lounge and locker room. Wade tries joining them, but Joel quickly grabs him and drags him to the systems room. In the employee's lounge, Kelly makes her way to the door on the far side of the room which leads to the front hallway. The footsteps move down the hall, causing the light in the room to go out. When the lights flicker back on, Kelly leads the group to the office.
In the systems room, Joel blocks the door with a heavy wood crate. Inside the L-shaped room is a rusting old furnace with pipes and chutes that extend in several directions. Unlike the rest of the rooms, this room is two stories tall and a couple of furnace chutes extend to the room's ceiling. Joel hears a fan and takes interest in the chutes going upward, believing one disappears into a venting system. Wade finds an oxidized metal panel on the furnace wall beneath the main chute and Joel manages to remove it. Joel finds metal handholds and footholds inside the opening. He comes across a fast-moving fan at the top of the chute and sees sunlight. Wade wants to tell the others, but Joel convinces him they'll come back to rescue them. Meanwhile, Adrian and the others make it to the office. While Lucia and Kelly work on the radio at a dusty wood credenza, Adrian and Jayce block the door with a metal desk and a metal filing cabinet. Adrian notices a vent cover near the floor under the credenza and considers opening it as a potential escape. Although Kelly is worried the endoskeleton will crawl through it, she lets Adrian open the cover with his pocketknife. Back in the systems room, Wade and Joel haven't found a way to stop the fan. Remembering how the lights when out before the endoskeleton killed Hope, Joel comes up with an idea: if they lure it into the room the power to the fan will shut off and they can get out. Joel convinces Wade to lure the endoskeleton since he's a quarterback and can outmaneuver it.
Lucia and Kelly keep trying to get the radio to work. As they worked, Kelly admitted that she always felt "less than" and overshadowed when around Hope. This confession makes Lucia feels guilty because Hope's death also benefits her since Adrian is now single. Lucia searches the filing cabinet in hopes of finding a manual for the radio, and instead finds an old, yellowed operator's manual that describes different kinds of robotic endoskeletons. The last page reveals the endoskeleton chasing them is either a Mimic Model 1 or 2. They have retractable and expandable limbs and a contracting torso, allowing it to fit into any mascot costume. It then says that the tech in the Mimics was pretty clunky and if one is ever encountered, it should be immediately disconnected from its power source and disassembled. This causes Lucia to panic, but Kelly manages to calm everyone down by asking what their favorite color is. Meanwhile, Joel waits for a minute after Wade leaves the room before climbing up to the fan. Joel's aware that they're in this mess because of him but also blames Wade for finding the way into the pizzeria. He uses this to justify using Wade as bait.
Wade makes his way down to the dining room when the lights begin to flicker. He enters the kitchen and hopes to enter the hallway behind the endoskeleton using the other door, but the lights go out before he makes it. Wade accidently knocks over a stack of pizza pans and alerts the endoskeleton of his location. He runs into the hall and throws the pizza pans at its neck, but they simply bounce off its shoulders and chest. Wade runs through the employee's lounge and runs towards the lobby only to discover that the endoskeleton had gone back the other way into the dining room. The room goes dark and the endoskeleton manages to graze Wade's forearm, digging into his skin. He manages to hide in the arcade, and once the room goes dark he sneaks back out into the dining room. Wade decides to hide in the pile of decaying body parts until the endoskeleton begins heading towards the stage. With a good enough head start, Wade runs to the back hall with the endoskeleton in pursuit.
Joel hears pounding footsteps heading his way and hears the door to the systems room bang open. He looks down to see Wade quickly enter the chute before the lights in the room go black. Wade screams for Joel's help, but Joel knows his friend is dying and cares more about the fan slowing down. Once the fan comes to a stop, Joel manages to get his head and neck through it before his chest gets stuck. Joel relaxes his muscles in hopes that it'll get him free, listening to the sounds of the endoskeleton pulling Wade's dead body out of the chute. He listens as it does the same thing it did to Hope to Wade before gathering his parts. Then, the lights in the systems room come back on and the fan reactivates. Its blades cut through Joel's arms and chest, splitting him in two before chopping the rest of him into bloody bits.
Epilogue #5[]
Lucia and Kelly manage to get the radio working and a garbled voice says that they are trapped in the old pizzeria in a room behind the stage. The group speculates about who is on the radio, where they were, and what to do. Eventually, Adrian convinces to group to find the room and get answers there. They make their way backstage without encountering the Mimic and find a hidden door in the wall that was obscured by a stack of boxes. Adrian knocks on the door, and someone knocks back but doesn't talk. They open the door only to find a very small room filled with costumes. Suddenly, one of the costumes on the right side of the room begins to rustle and Lucia manages to pull Adrian away right as a monkey costume gets up and attempts to grab him. The Mimic manages to slash Adrian's bicep and the group retreat back to the office.
They rebuild their barricade and find a first aid kit in the filing cabinet for Adrian. Adrian is worried for Joel and Wade, and he decides to crawl through the vent to avoid the Mimic. He has Jayce join him while Lucia and Kelly stay behind with the radio. As Adrian and Jayce crawl through the duct, Jayce notices that the galvanized steel is rusting and falling apart. They approach a vent cover and hear the tap-hiss-rasp of the Mimic's footsteps. Jayce looks through the vent cover and sees two bright white eyes staring out of the face of a butterscotch-colored furry costume. Jayce closes his eyes and waits for Adrian to start moving again. Their path is blocked by a AHU, and they end up in the employee break room instead. They carefully make their way to the systems room, where they find Wade's remains. Adrian makes his way towards an opening in the furnace, coming across Joel's horizontally bisected torso and disembodied legs under it. Adrian looks up the chute to see handholds, footholds, and a massive fan. He realizes that they were trying to exit through the chute and tells Jayce.
Meanwhile, Lucia and Kelly continue trying to contact people on the radio, but the signal isn't making it past the building. As Kelly continues tinkering with the radio, Lucia looks through the user's manual again but only learns that its deactivation switch is at the back of its neck. As Lucia and Kelly bond over how nerdy they are, Lucia goes through the drawers to the desk/barricade and finds a key on a key ring with "STORAGE" labeled on it. She remembers seeing a dead bolt on the door of a small room at the end of the hall on the opposite side of the systems room. Lucia wonders if the key is to that room and pockets it.
Adrian tries turning the fan off by flipping the fan switch, but it doesn't work. Jayce and Adrian locate a fuse box but none of the switches power off the fan either. Jayce then crawls behind the bottom part of the control panels to look for loose connections but doesn't find any. Adrian comes up with a new plan and leads Jayce into the dining room to find an endoskeleton leg while the Mimic is in a nearby party room. They find one but Jayce is unable to lift it. Adrian grabs it right as the Mimic, now a blond-colored dog with one ragged ear and a torn muzzle, rises up from behind a pile of endoskeleton arms and torsos. The lights in the dining room go black as Jayce and Adrian run into the arcade. There, Adrian comes up with a plan to sneak onto the small semicircular stage and sneak backstage in order to get onto the far side of the large, rectangular one located next to it. When the Mimic is distracted, they sneak up onto the small stage. When they reach the main stage, the Mimic has left and gone into the lobby.
Back in the systems room, Adrian tells Jayce to wait until he's entered the chute with the leg to join him. Adrian thinks that wedging the metal into the fan might be able to stop it, but isn't sure if he will fit through it. He's certain Jayce will and wants him to stay close, but right as Adrian enters the chute they hear the Mimic outside and he tells Jayce to hide. Jayce quickly ducks into the dark space behind the front of one of the control panels right as the lights in the system room go out. In the chute, Adrian jams the metal leg into the fan. Sparks fly and Adrian hears the sound of metal crunching, but the leg shoots out from the fan and hits him in the head. He falls down the chute and the Mimic catches him. Jayce hears Adrian fall and tries to get up to help, but then hears Adrian cry out again in pain. Jayce knows the Mimic has Adrian and weeps as he listens to his friend die.
Epilogue #6[]
Lucia manages to find a shoebox with radio parts and an old notebook inside. Kelly works on the radio but only manages to clear up the local signal. The Mimic attempts to trick them again, but they ignore it as Lucia explains that the notebook belonged to one of the engineers on the original Fazbear Entertainment animatronic creation team. Parts of the journal are unreadable, but Lucia can make out that a Mimic was designed to observe show routines and mimic them. The original Mimic mimicked humans as well in unintended ways, and Lucia can makes out the words misconstrue, scared, potential disaster, and deactivate remaining Mimic endos. Lucia proposes that the Mimic must have seen something similar to a hide-and-seek game and can't reason his trick won't work more than once. Kelly decides to ask the Mimic where it is in order to avoid it, learning it's in the janitor's supply room.
A metallic thud comes from inside the duct and the two attempt to flee, but they stop when Jayce comes out from the vent opening. Lucia helps Jayce up and asks where Adrian is, but Kelly notices that Jayce had been crying and pieces together what happened. Kelly tries to comfort Jayce as he cries again, but Lucia is furious and demands to know what happened. Jayce yells that there was nothing he could do and that the Mimic had got to Adrian before he could, and if he stepped in he would have died too. He asks if Lucia wanted that, and she says yes. When Jayce says they're the only three left, Kelly asks if he found Wade and Joel and Jayce confirms they're dead. The Mimic calls for help and Jayce explains the plan he came up with while in the vents: if they lured the Mimic into one of the rooms with Jayce inside, he can escape into the vent while Kelly and Lucia block the door. Jayce proposes that the Mimic would be too heavy for the old ducts and it would fall through. Lucia tells the Mimic they're on the way and Kelly tries getting Lucia to apologize to Jayce. She does, but Kelly can tell it's insincere.
Lucia comes up with a plan and tells Kelly and Jayce about the key that she thinks goes to the deadbolt on the door to the storage room at the end of the back hall. Jayce explains that the vent in that room is behind some boxes, creating a good escape plan. Kelly asks why it has to be Jayce who acts as bait, and Jayce says it's because he knows the vents better and for other personal reasons. In case the Mimic is able to snap the deadbolt, Lucia explains that they'll need to find a table bigger than the room's door and break off its legs, as well as a smaller table about the width of the hallway. Lucia thinks they can find both in the employee's lounge, and when they go to tell the Mimic that they're heading to the janitor's supply room they get no answer. Lucia worries that the Mimic's caught on.
As the three enter the employee's lounge, Jayce thinks back to how much he wanted Lucia to love him. He now knows their relationship isn't going to last, and also doesn't think his life will either, which is the real reason he chose to be bait. Lucia makes her way through the room with Jayce and Kelly behind her, but Jayce notices a locker that's slightly ajar and dark inside. The door suddenly twitches and the lights flicker, but before Lucia can respond the door shoots open and the lights go out. Jayce desperately tries to aid Lucia but Kelly pulls him away and slams all the doors shut as they run into the dining room. Lucia manages to catch up with a chunk of her hair torn off her scalp where the Mimic, dressed in a gray mouse costume, attempted to twist her head off. The group hide behind a pile of rubble outside the door of one of the party rooms as the lights in the dining room go out.
The Mimic begins walking towards the office and the dining room lights turn back on. Lucia finds a long table with two legs and a two-seater table with all four legs intact. Lucia instructs Kelly to carry the smaller table while she and Jayce break the legs off the long table, warning Jayce that they'll need to be quick since it'll make a lot of noise. Before they do, Kelly tears off a strip of fabric from Lucia's long skirt and wraps it around Lucia's wound to stop the bleeding. They place the tabletop against the wall next to the storeroom door while Kelly puts the little table in the systems room doorway. Lucia offers to be bait instead, but Jayce insists. Lucia and Kelly decide to hide in the arcade in order to view down the hall, and before they go Jayce pulls Lucia in for a kiss to let her know how he feels in case he didn't make it.
Seven minutes later, Jayce begins to rethink the whole plan but still removes the vent cover. He then to shouts and bangs the tabletop against the wall in order to lure the Mimic to him. He plays with the doorknob for three minutes until he hears the Mimic's footsteps and sees it step out of the employee's lounge wearing a frayed yellow cat costume. Jayce runs into the storage room and waits by the exposed vent opening. When the door slams open and the lights go out, Jayce crawls into the vent and realizes it's more unstable than he thought. He makes his way through the duct and hears the deadbolt slide into place. As Jayce crawls over the next seam, his shirt sleeve gets caught on two of the loose rivets and they pop off when he pulls away. Two more are torn loose and the section Jayce is in disconnects from the next section and scants sharply, causing Jayce to slide in reverse back into the storage room. Jayce tried to pull himself back up, but the Mimic grabs onto his ankle. Jayce is pulled out of the vent and his legs are torn from his body.
Meanwhile, Lucia and Kelly exchange a hug after finishing the barricade. Kelly believes Jayce is making his way back to the office, but as they start to head over they hear Jayce's screams echo throughout the pizzeria. When his screams stop, Lucia and Kelly hold each other in despair.
Epilogue #7[]
Still reeling from Jayce's death, Lucia and Kelly try to find a way out. Kelly tries burrowing through the concrete blocking the door to no avail. Their search is interrupted when they hear noises nearby, indicating the Mimic was trying to escape. The Mimic recalls Jayce's attempts to crawl in the tunnel, and is able to shift its body to accommodate the small space.
Elsewhere, Lucia and Kelly return to the backstage area and grab some costumes. Lucia believes that if they're wearing outfits, the Mimic won't detect them. She is about to put on a jester costume, but realizes it's a springlock suit. After putting on regular outfits with no springlocks, Lucia and Kelly plan on going back to the door. Lucia noticed that the slabs on the door were crumbling due to being in smaller chunks, and hopes that if they continue chunking away with the endoskeleton arms, they can break free.
Before they can do anything, the backstage lights above flicker, go out, and turn back on again. The Mimic had been hiding in a mushroom costume, and had changed its form from a humanoid figure to one of a nine-legged spider, with one eye on its leg and another on its back. Kelly tries to run away, but Lucia stops her. The movement is enough to attract the Mimic, and it goes over to inspect Kelly, who is in a blue dog costume. After a few seconds, the Mimic crawls away and Lucia believes they're in the clear, only for the Mimic to try wearing the costume while Kelly was still inside. Kelly screams as she is crushed by the Mimic's mass.
Epilogue #8[]
Mimic walks away, still inside the costume containing Kelly's remains. Now all alone, Lucia recalls the springlock jester costume. She thinks if the Mimic got caught in it, it would finally be subdued. Lucia returned to the costume room. Before she could trap the Mimic, Lucia decided that the other costumes needed to be destroyed first to ensure the Mimic had no other suits to hide in. Suddenly, every costume in the room swayed back and forth.
Lucia realized this meant the Mimic was already in the room with her, waiting for the right moment to pounce. Despite the potential danger, Lucia continues with her plan. She finds that the Mimic is inside of a gopher costume, whose arm starts to move. Lucia contemplates running, but realized that with the Mimic in the room, this was her only chance to complete the plan. Lucia hides among the costumes, with only one other costume aside from the jester being available. Mimic found the rodent costume and started to crawl through its mouth with Lucia still inside.
Lucia was getting suffocated like Kelly did, but she was able to get the zipper open and narrowly escape being crushed. While the Mimic was writhing in the rat costume, Lucia hid behind the jester costume, taking the risk of putting her head inside of it to get Mimic's attention. No longer inside the rodent costume, Mimic heard Lucia call out to it, and it lunged towards her. Lucia got out of the jester just as the Mimic went in. As the Mimic was contorting to fit the jester's body shape, Lucia grabbed a metal rod and started pummeling the costume with the Mimic inside.
Despite the hefty force, the springlocks didn't activate. The Mimic started to crawl out from the jester's mouth, but Lucia used the rod to shove the Mimic back inside the costume. This was enough to activate the springlocks, with the Mimic trapped inside the convulsing suit. Vulnerable, Lucia found the Mimic's shut-off switch and flicked it. The Mimic had been shut down. No longer being hunted, Lucia began searching for a way out of the building. She had found a window in the women's bathroom that had less concrete blocking it than the others. After several hours of pounding, she finally broke through the concrete, and then the window's glass. Now outside, a nearby construction worker found her. Lucia was finally free.
