Take Cake to the Children is one of the four minigames in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. It is randomly accessible after getting killed by one of the animatronics.
The minigame represents the event of the sad child's murder, who was later revealed to be Charlotte Emily.
Playthrough[]
Playing as Freddy, the player has to take a cake to six kids. Walking to each child will keep them happy (as in, keeping their shirt color green), as neglecting them by leaving them alone for too long causes them to turn red, expressing their impatience. Meanwhile, a child stands outside crying. As the player tries to serve cake to all six kids, a purple car will pull up outside, and William Afton gets out, who then proceeds to kill the sad child (who appears to stop crying momentarily, and then cry even harder while this is happening).
The sad child will then turn gray when dead. All the while, letters are called out, spelling "S-A-V-E-H-I-M," and the player begins to move slower and slower. If the player can make all the children green at the same time, the player will be unable to move and will be forced to watch the children turn red in anger. When the minigame ends as William Afton drives away, the Puppet's jumpscare is triggered, sending the player back to the title menu.
Trivia[]
- Freddy's sprite appeared as one of the collectible 8-bit construction sets by McFarlane. Strangely enough, 8-bit collectible set comes with Bonnie and Chica with similar body shape to Freddy from the same minigame, only that their heads were taken from the "Give Gifts, Give Life" minigame.
- William Afton's sprite is reused from the "Foxy Go! Go! Go!" minigame.
- The screenshot image of this minigame appeared in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator for the Terminal during the Completion Ending.
- From the older mobile version, the area was far smaller and there are only two children.
- Several images similar to the sad child appear as a hallucination in the East Hall in the first game.
- With the eventual reveal of the child's identity as Charlotte Emily, Henry's daughter, the S-A-V-E-H-I-M audio means there was either a retcon for the child's gender, or does not refer to the child.
