The Star Orphans are small animatronics in Murray's Costume Manor. They first appear in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic, pictured on a wall outside of the theater location, and later reappear as Starbrights on the same level as the White Tiger's flashing lights sequence, used as a power source to light certain areas of the underground tunnels.

They later reappear in one of the secret areas beyond the Retail Showroom where the player confronts the Sleepy Moon antagonist.

Physical Appearance

The Star Orphans are small, star-shaped night lights, with doll-like faces possessing various expressions, such as a smile, a neutral expression, and a frown. One notable instance during the Sleepy Moon sequence can be seen missing an eye.

Trivia

• A collectable item found in one of the Prize Boxes based on the red Star Orphan, known as the Star Orphan Night Light, is found in the Storytime Showroom location of Murray's Costume Manor.
  • After collecting the item, the item is later used to light the cave entrance in the Moon.EXE minigame, where it is referred as the "Starbright Night Light", which is also how the computer of the Story Time Showroom calls them.
• The Red, Blue and Yellow Star Orphans are likely a reference to the the Plushbabies due to the similar design patterns (The Blue PlushBaby having a scar on it, connecting to the broken heart on the blue Star Orphan and the yellow PlushBaby lacking it’s right eye, just like the yellow Star Orphan.
