Later, Melissa drops her two kids off to visit, and when she returns to pick them up she tells her mother about Stanley's condition. She calls him the next day to check up on him, telling him in a stern voice that he shouldn't joke around with being ill. Stanley mentions missing Amber and his mother tries to give him encouragement, saying Amber was never good for him and that she managed to find love with Harold after Stanley's father passed. She offers to come visit, but Stanley declines.
