“Carlton... I saw something. It was Bonnie, but different...” |
Spring Bonnie is a springlock suit created by Henry Emily, and was used in Fredbear's Family Diner alongside the diner's mascot Fredbear. As an animatronic/suit, he's a children entertainer, but was used by William Afton to lure and kill the young victims. After Afton was springlocked inside the suit, he "became one with his creation" and was trapped inside the now-rotten Spring Bonnie suit, calling himself Springtrap.
Physical Appearance[]
Spring Bonnie is a ragged yellowish-brown rabbit with yellow fur and dark, gaping holes for eyes. It also has two rows of smiling yellow teeth. When Afton puts the Spring Bonnie suit back on ten years later, its fur has become matted and the costume is peeling at the edge of the mouth.
In the graphic novel rendition, Spring Bonnie is nearly identical to Bonnie, with gold fur and a red bowtie on his chest.
History[]
The Silver Eyes[]
When the spirits of the children began to act out, William Afton, posing as "Dave" took the opportunity to sneak off and don his Spring Bonnie costume. As Spring Bonnie, he kidnapped Charlie's friend, Carlton Burke, and shoves him into a spare springlock suit. Jason witnessed the kidnapping and tried to tell the others that "Bonnie took him" to no avail. When eventually convinced his son is in danger, Clay sent Officer Dunn to find him. As Dunn explored the pizzeria alone, he found Afton in his suit in the closet. Afton attacked him, breaking his arm and eventually killing him. Near the end of the book William dons the Spring Bonnie suit again and takes Charlie hostage while wearing it. Charlie triggers the springlocks which impale William, causing his demise.
