Spring Bonnie is an old mechanical suit worn by William Afton to blend in with the environment of his establishment and abduct children. Acting flamboyant and caring, Afton would lure children into the decommissioned and mostly unused back area of the building, before he would kill them.
Afton would later use it in an attempt to kill Michael Schmidt and Abby Schmidt, but was stabbed and crushed by the springlocks of the suit due to being attacked by Mr. Cupcake, presumably creating Springtrap.
Physical Appearance[]
Spring Bonnie is a yellow rabbit suit with lighter yellow highlights. He has a large black nose, big blue eyes, and rabbit-like ears. He sports a large smile, two buck teeth, two black buttons, and a purple bowtie.
History[]
Likely in the 1980s, the Spring Bonnie suit was used as a performer at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, presumably with William and other employees wearing the suit to entertain children as they walked around. William Afton would use the suit in the mid-'80s to lure and kill five children during a birthday, then stuff them in the five animatronic characters. Following this event, William would hold onto the suit, which would seemingly slowly wither over the years.
In April 2000, Mr. Cupcake would bite into the suit's stomach, activating its springlock mechanisms while William is inside. As the springlocks are stabbing and digging into William's skin, he falls to the ground, twitching, and then is dragged to the storage room by the animatronics, where he'd presumably, eventually, die.
Trivia[]
- The non-withered Spring Bonnie suit is seen once in the film when Vanessa shows Mike an old picture of her and her father, William Afton, in the Spring Bonnie suit.
- The name Spring Bonnie is never used in the film, the suit is just referred to as "the Yellow Rabbit."
- The name "Yellow Rabbit" could be a call back to Golden Freddy being referred to as "Yellow Bear" in the files of the original Five Nights at Freddy's game.
