Sleepy Moon is a moon-themed humanoid Mascot Suit in Murray's Costume Manor. He first appears in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic as a hidden antagonist.
Physical Appearance[]
Sleepy Moon has a slight resemblance to Moon from Security Breach, particularly in his limbs and jester-like attire.
Sleepy Moon appears as a large, moon-like face with limbs coming from the side and bottom of his head. He also wears a small hat atop his head, not unlike that of Moon from Security Breach. The most notable part of Sleepy Moon's appearance is his large, bulbous head which also takes the place of his torso. He is seen smiling maliciously, with a large nose and bright yellow eyes.
History[]
Sleepy Moon was originally in the Story Time Showroom, but at some unknown point in time left the showroom.
Sleepy Moon was found by an employee, who promptly locked him deep within Murray's Costume Manor.
In game, once Arnold has unlocked the Retail Showroom, he is able to open the basement and find where Sleepy Moon resides. It is unknown what happens to Sleepy Moon once Arnold escapes.
Sleepy Moon also serves as the antagonist of the Moon.EXE minigame.

- It is possible that this costume is not controlled by the Mimic, as message logs in the retail showroom describe that Bob had trapped it in the basement and warned everyone not to let it escape.
- It's theorized that Sleepy Moon is not a robot, and rather possessed by a worker who got left behind in the basement (as shown by how the Sleepy Moon is a suit for humans to wear and not an animatronic, shown by the blueprints), unable to get out (perhaps the worker who sent the "Night Shift" log).
- Though, Party Time Chica is also is also shown to be made for human wear, but Mimic is seen wearing the suit. This likely goes for all the mascot suits, as Mimic is able to enter any suit with ease.
- Unlike other mascot suits, Sleepy Moon has audible dialogue, mumbling a random lullaby while idly walking around. This lullaby is actually an slightly edited version of the German lullaby Wiegenlied: Guten Abend, gute Nacht ("Lullaby: Good Evening, Good Night"), commonly known as "Brahms' Lullaby," composed by Johannes Brahms and published in 1868.
- This lullaby could've been chosen to reference Fiona and David's relationship before her death, as the lullaby centers around the comfort and care that a child gets from a parental figure, with the original lullaby specifically mentioning a mother.
- Though, it could be the other way around, as Sleepy Moon mentioned a male, meaning it could be for Edwin and David, possibly before Fiona's death.
- This lullaby could've been chosen to reference Fiona and David's relationship before her death, as the lullaby centers around the comfort and care that a child gets from a parental figure, with the original lullaby specifically mentioning a mother.

- His design resembles the Moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
- Interestingly, if the player has turned voice lines off in settings, then the singing will still be heard, but from the building itself and not Sleepy Moon. However, this may be an issue in the code, and may actually just be the echo effect itself that can be heard.
- Sleepy Moon has the ability to glow in the dark, a feature originally planned for the Daycare Attendant via unused emissive textures.
