This page lists descriptions of Minor Characters that appear in Sergio's Lucky Day.

List of Minor Characters[]

Sanders[]

Not what you were looking for? See Sanders (disambiguation).

Sanders is presumably the previous project manager. He left earlier than expected, so Sergio was promoted early.

Clive[]

Clive is Sergio's closest work buddy, both due to the location of their desks and how much time they spend together. He has a round head with big brown eyes and bushy, curly brown hair. Clive tends to dress in earthy tones and moves fluidly. He reminds Sergio of Bubbles, Clive and Fiona's chocolate labradoodle. When Sergio had told Clive this, Clive responded back that Sergio looks like Dale's dog, Trotter.

When Sergio gets his promotion, Clive throws a wadded-up piece of at him and congratulates him while also calling him an idiot. When Sergio points out he's his boss now, Clive refers to him as Mr. Idiot. At Sergio's dinner celebration, Clive is the only one not to encourage Sergio to give a speech. When Sergio calls everyone maggots, Clive burst out laughing, which causes the rest to. After dinner, Clive and Fiona join Sergio and Violet out dancing. On Sergio's first day of the job, Clive checks on him. He notices a drafting table and asks Sergio if he thinks he'll use it, but Sergio responds back asking if Clive thinks they reach their ideals. Clive answers that he doesn't think they're actually real and only exists in people's heads. He says they're all a bunch of donkeys chasing a carrot on a stick. Sergio finds it depressing, but Clive finds it rather freeing.

After winning the lottery, Sergio takes a day off. When he returns the next day, Clive compliments his new car and bling. Sergio tells him he won the lottery and tries his best to keep Lucky Boy a secret. Clive jokingly asks to get a swimming pool, then warns Sergio that he still has work to do. After giving him a high five, Clive warns Sergio not to cut off his nose to spite his face, advice his mother used to give that Clive still doesn't quite understand. When Sergio quits, Clive asks what Sergio is planning to do and wishes him luck, which Sergio says he doesn't need now that he has Lucky Boy. Clive mishears this as Sergio calling himself a lucky boy and tells him to keep in touch, which he doesn't.

Fiona[]

Fiona is Clive's girlfriend and an architect in the firm. She has red hair and is out-spoken. When Violet flirts with Clive, she "accidentally" flings a spoonful of mashed potatoes onto Violet's new blouse. After dinner, Clive and Fiona join Sergio and Violet out dancing.

Violet[]

Violet is a junior architect at the firm and Sergio's previous girlfriend. She is short and pillowy with freckles and brown hair, and Sergio claims she's the picture of curvy femininity. To play up her soft features, she wears clothes with lots of trim, ruffles, and color. Violet wants to look sassy, which Sergio isn't sure how that's supposed to look. Violet is a "go-getter," meaning she's always likes to keep moving and going out. Sergio finds her laugh to be annoying, as it's a cross between a honk, siren, and snore, and gets annoyed when she laughs at things that aren't supposed to be funny, such as informing her of the dinner celebration being held due to his promotion. He also gets annoyed when Violet flirts with other men.

Violet and Sergio had been dating for almost a year, although their relationship is mostly built off lies. He lied to her about his favorite movie genres, as Violet likes romantic comedies and hates horror. Sergio has also lied about his food tastes since Violet said Chinese food is either too bland or too spicy. While Violet is smart, fun, and does share interests, Sergio questions if they would even be together if he told the truth. His main issue is that Violet isn't Sophia Manchester, the girl he really wants to date. While at dinner, she asks Sergio how it feels to be project manager before attempting to flirt with Clive. After Sergio calls everyone maggots, Clive and Violet are the first to laugh. After dinner, Violet goes out dancing and invites Clive and Fiona to join them.

Violet dislikes Sergio's long hours, asking why he's always working so late. One day, Sergio leaves early and Violet offers to lend him her car, but Sergio declines since she wants to take him to a gallery opening. The next day, Sergio takes Violet to the Horizon in a new car. He tells Violet about his lottery win and she begins giving ideas to spend the money, like buying a boat and a timeshare so they can go out together. She then notices Sergio's new watch. Upon learning he didn't buy her anything, Violet demands to be taken home and to get a gift. A few days later, Violet sees Sergio has a brand new car but no gift. She calls Sergio selfish, and when Sergio says she is as well she storms out of his office. That night, using advice from Lucky Boy, Sergio breaks up with Violet. At first she thinks he's calling to apologize, then she tells Sergio she's too good of a catch and slams down her phone.

Mrs. Bailey[]

Not what you were looking for? See Bailey (disambiguation).

Mrs. Bailey is Sergio's neighbor. She's petite with gray hair, and she likes to wear crisply ironed shirtdresses in pastel colors. At night, Mrs. Bailey wears a frilly pink nightgown under a white quilted robe. She is a busybody who always tries to talk to Sergio as he's heading for his apartment, much to his annoyance. When Sergio comes home late, Mrs. Bailey at first believes he is an intruder. He avoids telling her about the promotion so she doesn't invite him inside for baked goods and pretends to be tired. Mrs. Bailey then begins to stay up late so she can greet Sergio with suggests for getting more sleep. After getting his new car stolen, Sergio attempts to return to his apartment but is stopped by Mrs. Bailey offering oatmeal-raisin cookies. Sergio shouts at her, saying he hates raisins and only wanted to be polite when she offered them. Mrs. Bailey begins to cry and returns to her apartment.

Thunder Feet[]

An unnamed neighbor lives on the floor above Sergio's, and he gives her the nickname "Thunder Feet." Despite her being five foot ten and having an awful personality, Sergio finds her to be rather cute, as she's slender and curvy with blonde hair and a nice face. Thunder Feet takes dance lessons, and Sergio listens to her stomping until 2:00 a.m. He attempts to talk to her about it once, but got scolded for ringing her doorbell late at night and gets called names that make him blush. When Sergio wins the lottery, Thunder Feet is upstairs stomping on the floor.

After his car is stolen, Sergio returns home only to come across Thunder Feet in the elevator. She mistakes his look of annoyance for admiration, especially since she's wearing tight exercise pants and a sports bra. She tells Sergio not to wake her up again tonight, and he hears her calling him a loser as he leaves the elevator.

Officer Neal[]

Officer Neal is a police officer. He's young with a buzz cut that's rather recent, as Sergio can see white skin between his brown hair and the tan line on his neck. Neal gives Sergio a ride home after he reports his car being stolen. He's rather pessimistic, telling Sergio the car's probably out of state or in parts, and insurance won't fully help with the loss.

Eve[]

Not what you were looking for? See Eve (disambiguation).

Eve is a real estate agent. She's very pretty and Sergio had worked with her in the past. He considers dating Eve, but he's reasonably sure she is married.

Claire Fredericks[]

Claire Fredericks is a real estate agent that Sergio dates after breaking up with Violet. She is petite and slender, although Sergio thinks she isn't exactly "pretty" due to her strong features. Claire has dark hair and huge, somewhat almond-shaped, very dark brown eyes. She apparently looks Italian, which Sergio's parents love. Sergio and Claire had worked together in the past, and she likes science fiction. She is soft-spoken.

Sergio uses Lucky Boy's advice to choose a real estate agent by looks, and her calls Claire to schedule an appointment to look at houses. The next day, Sergio explains his current plan and wants to seek out on old warehouse district that was rezoned. Claire finds the idea exciting and believes Sergio's design aesthetic is perfect, which Sergio didn't know she noticed. She flirts with him and takes him to a an old stand-alone warehouse. Sergio agrees to it, and as Claire is writing up the offer Sergio offers to dinner to celebrate once the owner accepts it. The owner does, so Sergio picks Claire up. He gives her flowers and she notices Lucky Boy, so Sergio explains the story behind him.

As the weeks go by, Sergio believes Claire's thoughts on him change. He thinks he feels slight undertones in what she says, and he thinks the gifts she's giving are meant to be her ways of improving him. For example, Claire buys him new shirts and CDs, so Sergio believes she hates his clothes and music tastes. When Sergio complains about being short, Claire suggests putting lifts in his shoes instead of saying he's tall. Sergio decides he needs to break up with her, but first takes her to meet his parents. During dinner, Claire offers Sergio some of her roasted brussels sprout, but learns Sergio doesn't like them. On the car ride home, Sergio breaks up with her since she only find faults. Claire explains that she was just offering gifts and wanting to be helpful. Lucky Boy giggles and Claire attempts to throw him out the window, which causes Sergio to crash his truck. Claire sues Sergio for negligence resulting in her injuries.

Unnamed Clerk[]

An unnamed teenage clerk helps calls the tow-truck driver while Sergio signed paperwork. He has bad acne and limp hair, but he dresses in a clean blue uniform shirt with khaki pants. Sergio considers him friendly enough, and when the clerk returned to the counter he offers Sergio a lottery ticket for tomorrow's drawing, as it can help pay for car repairs. Sergio at first declines, but then Lucky Boy says "It's your lucky day!" The teen calls Lucky Boy a cool doll, and Sergio decides to take the ticket after all. The clerk beams as he rings it up.
