After subscribing to the Fazbear Funtime Service, they get sent animatronics infected by a glitch that tries to kill them.

As there are killer animatronics now in the protagonist(s)' homes, they must survive against them. They use multiple tools, including a flashlight that helps them see the animatronics better, but the battery that comes with the device will be drained after each use. The controlled shock, probably the most important device to the protagonist(s), is used to shock an animatronic when attacking, defeating them. For Toy Animatronics, a Freddy Fazbear Mask needs to be put on to get the animatronic away, just like in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Defeating the animatronics means gaining access to their plush suits and endoskeletons for the protagonist(s) to collect. They can also collect Remnant to power-up their animatronics, while at the same time also keeping Shadow Bonnie away.
