Polo the Serpent is an animatronic sea serpent at Freddy's Fantasy Water Park. It's the pink sibling of Marco the Serpent and resides in the water park's main attraction, Freddy's Sea Life Mechaquarium. Polo plays a small, yet nonetheless important role in the Tales from the Pizzaplex story, Submechanophobia, the first story in the book of the same name.
Physical Appearance[]
Polo is a pale pink, sea serpent animatronic. Like its twin, Marco, Polo is described as being smaller than Zeus the Sea Dragon and as having a snakelike body.
As with all of the underwater animatronics, Polo is old and rundown, with chipped paint, rusted spots and a few broken pieces you'd miss at a glance.
Personality[]
Polo and its twin Marco, are both known for hiding in obscure places around the Mechaquarium, and as with all other underwater animatronics, normally swim at a generally slow pace.
History[]
Polo is one of the many underwater animatronics in Freddy's Sea Life Mechaquarium. It was given its name by water park employee Roy, because of its tendency to hide in the ocean decor of the Mechaquarium. Marco and Polo are both well known for hiding, and were both possibly named after the swimming pool game 'Marco Polo', where one player who can't see, must search for and catch the other players by shouting 'Marco', so that the other players must shout 'Polo'. Like all of the animatronics at the water park, Polo was left mostly uncared for during the park's several year closure and no money was spent on renovating it for when the park reopened.
Polo is the third animatronic to break down in Submechanophobia. When this happens, it's wedged in between some faux sea rocks in the ocean themed decor of the Mechaquarium. It's at such an angle that Caden has to stretch awkwardly around it in order to check its wiring and reset its motors.
Polo, along with the rest of the underwater animatronics, appear in Caden's nightmare, swimming much faster than normal and attacking the children that jump into the Mechaquarium. Neither Marco nor Polo have a described method of attacking the children unlike the three sharks, Zeus the Sea Dragon, Delilah the Mermaid and Frank the Diver.
In the climax of Submechanophobia, Polo swims around Martin to prevent him from swimming away should he break free from Zeus the Sea Dragon's tail.
