Welcome back to parts and service.
HandUnit, The start of all of the Parts and Service levels.

Parts and Service is one of the game sections in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted. The player is required to repair animatronics in proper method and order.

Gameplay

In these sections, the player's objective is to repair one of the original animatronics, due to issues during the day. These animatronics include Bonnie, Chica, Freddy, and Foxy. HandUnit will guide the player throughout the segments and provide instructions. These instructions must be done in the correct method in order to avoid being attacked by the animatronics.

Levels

Bonnie

Bonnie's guitar is out of tune and requires the player to put it back in tune. Follow the steps said by HandUnit correctly to avoid being attacked: A video showing this minigame can be found here

The player removing Bonnie's eye.

  1. Remove Bonnie's left eye (the player's right) from its socket and drop it into the cleaning receptacle at the player's left side. Removing the wrong eye, dropping it onto the ground, or dropping it into the wrong receptacle will result in a jumpscare.
  2. Repeat the step by dropping Bonnie's right eye into the receptacle at the player's right side.
  3. Press the two buttons placed on either side of Bonnie's face to open his faceplate.
  4. Press the blinking button inside Bonnie's secondary throat pipe to enter calibration mode.
  5. Each note on Bonnie's guitar is played while the button flashes in the corresponding color. Adjust the guitar's string that is out of tune. The player may only replay the note before adjusting.
  6. Click on the button again to verify the notes. If the notes are incorrect, Bonnie will attack the player, resulting in a Game Over.
  7. Replace both of Bonnie's eyes in the same order that the player removed them (left side to Bonnie right then vice versa), and his faceplate by pressing the two buttons again. The player must do this in the correct order to avoid being attacked.

Chica

Chica smells bad and this is no good for customers. Follow the steps said by HandUnit correctly to avoid being attacked: A video showing this minigame can be found here

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

The player about to repair Chica.

  1. Remove all food particles (three slices of pizza) from Chica's exterior and place them in the refuse bin on the right.
  2. Open Chica's beak by pressing the two buttons on either side of her head.
  3. Press the button on the bottom of the Fazbear Entertainment Restaurant-Grade Chemispray to remove the roach infestation inside Chica.
  4. Reattach Chica's upper arm, hand, and cupcake plate.
  5. Continue spraying chemispray as needed to keep the roach infestation down. If it goes unchecked, Chica will attack.
  6. Return the cupcake to Chica's plate. It will be moving around the room and must be caught.
  7. Eat a slice of pizza from the table to finish the level.

Note: DO NOT eat any pizza before instructed to do so. This will result in a jumpscare. Moving the headset too close to the pizza will cause it to be eaten.

Freddy

A customer's personal item has been left on Freddy. The player's job is to retrieve it so it can be taken to lost and found. Follow the steps said by HandUnit correctly to avoid being attacked: A video showing this minigame can be found here here

The player about to repair Freddy.

  1. Grab and remove the child's hat from Freddy's mouth. This takes two attempts.
  2. Place the hat in the "lost and found bin".
  3. Open Freddy's chest cavity by pulling his bowtie outwards.
  4. Remove the child's watch and place it in the bin, avoiding the wiring inside Freddy. Touching any of the wiring inside Freddy will prompt an attack.
  5. Remove Freddy's music box (bottom-right) before the safety latch descends and place it on the table to the left.
  6. Reset the safety latch by pushing the red button in the middle of Freddy's endoskeleton.
  7. Remove the child's shoe and place it in the bin.
  8. Grab Freddy's music box and put it back.
  9. No matter what the player does, the first music box will be dropped, causing Freddy's eyes to glow red in his anger. They must pick up another one from the table on their left and place it where the previous one was to calm him down. A slow and even pace is recommended. Take too long and he'll get aggressive. Note: This can be repeated if the player dropped it too many times.
  10. Honk Freddy's nose to close his chest cavity and finish the level. Note: DO NOT honk Freddy's nose until you're asked so, or he'll become aggressive.

Foxy

Foxy has been out of commission for too long. Follow the steps said by HandUnit correctly to avoid being attacked: A video showing this minigame can be found here

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

The player about to repair Foxy.

  • Place Foxy's head back on. Keep an eye on Foxy at all times after this, as he may slip away and attack the player if they look away for too long.
  • Find the fuse matching Foxy's leg's fusebox from drawer #1 and place it in the fusebox while Foxy's legs are still. It should be noted that dropping fuses on the floor, even incorrect ones, will prompt an attack from Foxy.
  • Remove the fuse in Foxy's chest and place it in his arm.
  • Find the fuses in drawers #2 and #4 that match the boxes in Foxy's chest and place them while he is still.
  • Find the yellow eye in drawer #3 and place it in Foxy's eye socket while he's still and his eye patch is up.

Blacklight Levels

Bonnie

There are no mechanical changes to gameplay with Bonnie's repair. However, there is distorted music and multi-colored flashing lights, which may disorient the player and make tuning the guitar difficult. The color scheme has also been changed to a blacklight palette.

Chica

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

Chica's cupcake is replaced with Nightmare Chica's cupcake, and giant bugs crawl around the room. Gameplay is nearly identical, except the chemispray no longer works after the first spray and the roaches must be removed by hand while chasing the cupcake.

Freddy

A video showing this minigame can be found here

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

Freddy's Blacklight level is very similar to the original level. The area is changed to be surrounded by multiple static-filled screens. The Freddles also appear clinging to Freddy before disappearing after a few seconds. There are also multiple toys floating around the room. The biggest concern is the color is gone and the view is in grayscale. This makes the atmosphere unsettling, along with making things extremely hard to see. Minor changes include the watch glitching into a Freddle when removed from Freddy.

Foxy

A video showing this minigame can be found here

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

The main change in Foxy's Blacklight level is that the fuses now flash different colors and must have their placement timed, or else the player will be attacked. Also, when placing Foxy's right eye back in, all eyes in the drawer will be glowing yellow, most with smudges on them. The player must choose the eye with no smudges in order to avoid a jumpscare. The drawers are all numbered 1, possibly to confuse the players as to which drawer has the correct fuse. Also, looking away from Foxy once his head is back on will give him a chance to slip away and get the player. In terms of aesthetic changes, the area around the player and Foxy is now on fire.

Coins

  • In Bonnie's level, a coin can be found under the Bonnie plushie on the left side of the room.
  • In Bonnie's level, the player can find a coin laying against the cleaning receptacle on the player's right side.
  • In Bonnie's level, a coin will appear on the corner of the desk on the player's left side when they strum Bonnie's guitar three times.
  • In Chica's level, a coin can be found to the left, just behind the player on the table.
  • In Chica's level, a coin may be found in the trash bin.
  • In Chica's level, a coin will appear next to the pizza box if the player feeds Chica a slice of pizza while her mouth is open.
    • In Flat Mode, this must be done by throwing the pizza slice into Chica's mouth while it is open.
  • In Freddy's level, there is a coin to the player's left under a music box on the second shelf.
  • In Freddy's level, there is a coin behind Freddy's left ear (player's right).
  • In Foxy's level, a coin may be found under the gear next to the Foxy plush on the right.
  • In Foxy's level, a coin will appear on the left table if the player puts on Foxy's mask.
    • In Flat Mode, simply put Foxy's mask on Foxy like normal. It will spawn on the left table.

Tapes

  • A tape may be found in Chica's level in the trash can.
  • A tape may be found on the floor to the left of Foxy.
  • A tape may be found under Freddy's left thigh (player's right).

Trivia

  • In pre-release footage from Youtubers, a coin could be found in Foxy's level on top of one of the cans of spray paint to the player's right. This was later removed.
  • Bonnie and Foxy have unique jumpscares based on when the player fails a task.
    • In Bonnie's level, if the player pulls out the wrong eye, Bonnie will be missing that eye during the jumpscare. He will also attack the player with both eyes missing if the player places Bonnie's right eye in the wrong receptacle or drops it. If the player tunes the incorrect note on Bonnie's guitar or tries to close his face before putting his eyes in, he will jumpscare the player while being completely faceless.
    • In Foxy's level, if the player attempts to put in a fuse before putting Foxy's mask back on his head, Foxy will retreat into the background, running at the player and jumpscaring them while being completely faceless. Interestingly, the player can still put the mask on him while he is running towards them though this will not prevent the jumpscare. His right eye can be seen even though the player hasn't put it in yet.
  • In Foxy's level, it's possible to put Foxy's mask on the player's head.
  • The varying layout of the Parts and Service room itself, is presumably the same Parts and Service room from Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
  • After removing Bonnie's eyes and opening his face plate, he bears a striking resemblance to his withered counterpart.
  • After dropping Freddy's music box, a distorted version of the Toreador March plays. If the player replaces the music box before the song ends, it will revert to its normal jingle.
