We had an old animatronic version of Candy, uh, before we got these new shiny ones.
Phone Guy, Five Nights at Candy's

Old Candy is the name given to the original model of Candy the Cat, who is an antagonist in Five Nights at Candy's. Being the previous mascot for Candy's Burgers & Fries along with Blank, Old Candy was discarded in the Parts & Service only to begin roaming the halls at night after a technician tried to fix him up.

Physical Appearance[]

Old Candy is a bulkier and larger animatronic compared to the rest of the animatronics in Five Nights at Candy's. Much like Blank, he appears to be made of a wooden material with scratches across his suit. He is a blue cat animatronic with a turquoise snout, inner ears, and stomach. His shoulders extend up higher and broader from his actual endoskeleton, causing the wiring to be exposed. His hands have no articulation, keeping his four-fingered hands in a permanent curled position. He doesn't have any suit on his feet, exposing his mechanical endoskeleton feet which have three toes and a square design. Unlike his later counterpart and sister, Old Candy's head is segmented into two with a wider, prominent jaw. He has rounded teeth as opposed to sharp cat-like teeth.

When he was still in good condition, Old Candy's suit was smoother and he possessed reddish-brown eyes.

Personality[]

Not much is known about the Candy the Cat character back in the 1960s, although the drawings that appear in minigames appear to depict him as friendly to children, entertaining and dancing with them. In the same minigames, Old Candy helps bring a child back to their parent, further emphasizing his friendliness towards children. But in the same minigame and in the phone call from Five Nights at Candy's introducing him, Old Candy appears to have a resentment or apathy towards adults.

Functionality[]

Old Candy has the basic functionality of an animatronic, with the ability to roam freely across the establishment. The animatronic was initially deactivated after becoming decommissioned, however he begun to move around the building again when an employee started tinkering with him. It can be inferred based on his microphone that Old Candy could sing. Unlike the other Candy's animatronics, Old Candy's eyes do not glow in the dark.

History[]

Old Candy was created sometime in 1964, alongside Blank for Candy's Burgers & Fries. He was sent to the restaurant in 1965, where he was led to Parts & Service by Shadow Candy, scaring a mechanic who tased and deactivated him. Old Candy stayed the main mascot for the restaurant for over 22 years, turning a dark blue after years of aging.

One day in 1987, Old Candy found a child crying in the Office who he helped return to their father. But after seeing the child being yelled at by their father and misinterpreting it as him being hurt, Old Candy attacked the man. This incident led to him being decommissioned, it is unknown if the father survived the attack. Sometime in 1989, Old Candy is dismantled and his head can be seen in a box in the Parts & Service.
