Nintendo of America, abbreviated as NoA, is Nintendo's North American subsidiary founded in 1980 that develops and distributes video games for the Nintendo brand of consoles. In 2019, Nintendo of America began working with Clickteam LLC to distribute the first four Five Nights at Freddy's games on the Nintendo Switch.
In 2025, Nintendo would announce their new console, Nintendo Switch 2, which will have backwards compatibility on games. Five Nights at Freddy's games will likely be supported at launch or gain support following its release.

Nintendo of America began working with the franchise in 2019, with Clickteam's ports of Five Nights at Freddy's, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Five Nights at Freddy's 3, and Five Nights at Freddy's 4, which were approved and released in November 2019.
In 2020, they started working with Steel Wool Studios, with their port of Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, which was approved and released in May 2020, then Clickteam's port of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location was approved and released in June 2020, ending the year with Clickteam's port of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, which was approved and released in October 2020.
In 2021, Clickteam's port of Ultimate Custom Night was approved and released in April 2021; later, they would approve the launch build for Steel Wool's Curse of Dreadbear port, and it would release in September 2021.
In 2023, Steel Wool's port of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach would be approved and released in April 2023.
In 2024, Mega Cat Studios' port of Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit was approved in September 2024 but wasn't launched due to problems; later in October, Into the Pit was approved and set to release that same month; it would release on October 31, 2024. Steel Wool's port of Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 would be approved and released on November 14. RUIN would be approved and released the next month on December 12.
