Nexie is a blonde-haired Buddytronic doll with the pieces that Astrid picked out put on in strange ways. One of her round blue eyes is much higher than the other, and her lower eyeball is bulging. Nexie’s full, pink plump cheeks are low on her face, appearing more like jowls. Her rosy, pouty mouth and the upturned nose are too close together, with her nose practically resting on her rosy upper lip. Nexie's mouth also doesn’t close properly, making it appear like she’s baring her even, small white teeth. Her three long braids originate at the base of her skull instead of at the top, jutting upward and then knotting together and spraying outward widely like a big spider. Nexie's head is much too small for her nearly three-foot-tall body. Her arms jut from her sides instead of from normal shoulders, and her legs start at her waist, right next to where the arms start. Nexie's neck is too long, and her chest is too compacted. She also has short-fingered hands and plastic skin. Nexie has a simple blue dress with a little flounce around its hem and a darker blue bow around its waist. In the front, below the waistline, the dress has big patch pockets in the same dark blue as the bow. Nexie also has a straw hat with a wide brim and a blue bow. Because of her proportions, however, her clothes fit poorly. Nexie's hat sits low on her forehead, and her dress is scrunched up, wrinkled, and nearly ripping at the shoulders.

Astrid removes Nexie’s hat, as it’s just too big to stay on due to her weird braids. Later, Astrid manages to fix Nexie’s arms and legs so they extend from her shoulders and hips.
