Murray's Fantastic Digi-Typer, shortened to Digi-Typer is presumably an earlier variant of a S.T.A.F.F. Bot and works as the mail sorter and shredder at Murray's Costume Manor. He first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic.
Physical Appearance[]
He shares a similar appearance to the S.T.A.F.F. Bots but is fully a shiny gray metal, with yellow eyes, a smiling grin, and a blue mail hat with a carrier signal flag attached to it. He wears a blue buttoned-up vest and a black bow tie, with black shoulder pads. His arms are fully metal with white hands. He is attached to a rolling cart, which acts as the power unit, keyboard, and shredder. There is a port on the back where shredded paper is expelled, as well as a drawer that seems to hold paper for printing.
Personality[]
The Digi-Typer has a very chipper demeanor, and is mostly focused on his task. Unlike the S.T.A.F.F bots, his voice seems to be comprised of pre-recorded lines rather than simple text-to-speech. Despite being advertised as a mail delivery system, the Digi-Typer only seems to shred mail.
Functionality[]
The only functional Digi-Typer in the game is found in the Manager's Office in front of a desk, and he is completely docile, even "greeting" the player when they arrive. He simply cycles through dialogue, occasionally grabbing sheets of paper from the desk and shredding them.
When the player starts a generator in the office, Jackie will crawl into the office. As she begins to approach the player, Digi-Typer greets her, which prompts Jackie to attack him. She grabs him, mauling and then slamming him into the floor before throwing him through a wall to the right of the player. The player has to escape the office through the newly made opening, where Digi-Typer's malfunctioning remains are found.
Parts of other Digi-Typers can be found throughout Murray's Costume Manor. In the Doll Hospital, there is a malfunctioning Digi-Typer laid out on a work bench, holding a gear needed to open the door to the bay. When the player approaches, it will activate for a moment before shutting back down.
Trivia[]
- Although difficult to see in-game, Digi-Typer's arm is torn off by Jackie and thrown near the player while she is attacking him.
