This is a list of minor characters in Ultimate Custom Night.
The One You Should Not Have Killed[]
“He's here and always watching. The One You Shouldn't Have Killed.” |
The One You Should Not Have Killed, alternatively called The One You Shouldn't Have Killed, or Vengeful Spirit in the audition listing, is referenced by several characters' voice lines upon killing the player. Tabatha Skanes also whispers in the background of some rare dialogue from a few of the Mediocre Melodies.
Nightmare Freddy claims he was remade, not by the protagonist, but by The One You Should Not Have Killed. Mangle, Withered Chica, and Jack-O-Chica also mention him. Nedd Bear's secret death quote tells the player this is how dying feels, and they will get to repeatedly experience it forever, since he will never let them leave. Happy Frog similarly states it has only just started, and reiterates they will never leave, nor rest. Orville Elephant says he tried to release the two of them, but The One You Should Not Have Killed will not let it happen, in spite of how many times they are burned.
The face of The One You Should Not Have Killed can sometimes briefly appear in the darkness of various parts of the game, such as doorways or the game over screen. The image used is of Jason Cawthon,[1] making him the only character with a real life person's face, but voiced by someone else. Because of the use of a female voice provider, a male appearance, and he/him pronouns, much confusion has been caused over his gender, though the audition listing for the vengeful spirit stated it should not be immediately clear and the actor is free to lean either way in their portrayal.
Mr. Hippo's Friend[]
“You try to read into every little thing, and find meaning in everything anyone says, you'll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once. Wasn't pretty. We talked about it for years.” |
A friend of Mr. Hippo is mentioned in one of his stories, who tried to read into every tiny detail and find meaning in anything anyone said. They talked for years about it, but they just drove themself crazy and it was not pretty.
Duck Feeder and Son[]
“I do remember a man who would bring his son to the bakery every Wednesday, and... then go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread.” |
In another one of Mr. Hippo's monologues, he recollects a man who would bring his son to the bakery on Wednesdays. They would purchase all of the sourdough bread to feed the ducks together.
Mr. Hippo heard that feeding the ducks bread would kill them, since it would apparently swell up inside their stomachs. Although he noticed a significant decrease in the population over several years, he never actually witnessed any ducks dying. Mr. Hippo remarks that he never thought to stop the man and inform him of the harm his actions were causing the local duck population.
