Who is the Phone Guy in FNaF 2? toggle section
Phone Guy, a character in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, works for Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. He guides players through recorded messages, offering advice and information. His intentions are debated, as he minimizes the risks instead of urging players to quit. Scott Cawthon, the game's developer, provides his voice.

Why was Foxy constantly repaired in FNaF 2? toggle section
In FNaF 2, Foxy, known as Withered Foxy, was frequently repaired due to his damaged state. He was replaced by Mangle, a redesigned version often disassembled by toddlers, requiring regular reassembly by staff. This process became a children's attraction, helping to lower maintenance costs.

What role does Foxy play in FNaF 2? toggle section
In FNaF 2, Foxy is a major character and secondary antagonist. As a withered animatronic fox, he is a discontinued pirate entertainer from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Foxy is known for his aggressive behavior, advancing in phases before attacking the night guard. He is considered one of the most dangerous animatronics, with a high body count, including the previous night guard and Jeff. Foxy also sings sea shanties, similar to his behavior in the first game.

How does FNaF 2 differ from the original game? toggle section
FNaF 2 differs from the original game by replacing the flashlight with three light buttons, removing the power meter. Withered Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Golden Freddy are absent in the main five nights, while Foxy returns with his original appearance. Players must manage the Music Box and use the Hall Light for Withered Foxy. The toy animatronics are more active in this installment.

Kid's Cove in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a playroom at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. It is where the animatronic Mangle begins each night. Mangle was meant to be a kid-friendly version of Foxy but is found damaged due to rough play by children. Kid's Cove replaces the original Pirate Cove.

List of Characters[]

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Staff[]

The staff literally had to put Foxy back together during just every shift. So eventually they just stopped trying and left him in some kind of "take apart, put back together" attraction. Now he's just a mess of parts. I think the employees refer to him as just...the mangle.
Phone Guy, Night 3

Phone Guy first mentions the staff of the reopened Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on his Night 3 message. After every shift, they had to repair the new version of Foxy, who was constantly torn apart by the toddlers in Kid's Cove. They eventually got tired and stopped trying altogether, leaving it as a "take apart and put back together" attraction, which they nicknamed "The Mangle".

On Night 4, Phone Guy notes that the toy animatronics have been acting almost aggressive towards the employees, despite interacting with children just fine.

Afterwards, the building is put on lockdown and nobody is allowed in or out. This would presumably include the staff, although Jeremy Fitzgerald still goes to work. Then a memo is sent out prior to Night 6 about the closure of the restaurant.

Day Shift Security Guard[]

Uh... you're only the second guard to work at that location. Uh, the first guy finished his week, but complained about...conditions.
Phone Guy, Night 1

Before Jeremy's work week, the first security guard worked a week at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The animatronics roamed around and attempted to enter his office, however, he somehow managed to survive without a Freddy Fazbear head, nor a music box. He completed the week and subsequently complained about workplace conditions. As a result, he was switched over to the day shift from opening to closing, and left the position open for Jeremy to take. He reports nothing unusual up to Night 3.

On Night 5, Phone Guy states the job of day time security guard has suddenly become available. Phone Guy also mentions the building being on lockdown, especially for what concerns previous employees, which may be alluding to the former security guard.

In the SAVETHEM minigame, which is set at night the week before the one we play through, the only human character shown is Purple Guy; this led to speculation that the nightguard might be William or Michael Afton.

Engineers[]

So while our engineers don't really have an explanation for this, the working theory is that... ..the robots were never given a proper night mode. So when it gets quiet, they think they're in the wrong room, so then they go try to find where the people are, and in this case, that's your office.
Phone Guy, Night 1

The pizzeria's engineers are mentioned by Phone Guy in his first call. Although they have no explanation for the animatronic's strange behavior, they have the working theory that they were never given a proper "night mode".

Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. Chief Executive Officer[]

It's a minor setback. We are confident that we will reopen someday, even if it is with a much smaller budget.
CEO Fazbear Ent., ROBOTS SCRAPPED - Freddy Fazbear's is Closing

The chief executive officer of Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. is quoted in the Night 6 Ending newspaper regarding the business' future plans in the face of their latest establishment closing.

Whether or not they are the same character as the company's CEO mentioned in the first Five Nights at Freddy's is unclear.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Customers[]

But the characters have been acting very unusual, almost aggressive towards the staff. Uh they interact with the kids just fine, but when they encounter an adult, they just...stare.
Phone Guy, Night 4

Phone Guy references various customers to the reopened Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Kid's Cove was the area specifically designated for toddlers, but they would constantly take apart Mangle, until it became a "take apart and put back together" attraction.

On Night 4, Phone Guy reports the animatronics interact with kids normally, but stare when encountering an adult.

There is one final birthday party at the establishment on November 13, 1987, assumedly for a child.

There are various kids' drawings posted on the walls of the location too.

Utah Police[]

Okay, so uh, just to update you, uh, there's been somewhat of an investigation going on, uh, we may end up having to close for a-a few days, I don't know.
Phone Guy, Night 4

Local law enforcement are presumably the ones carrying out the mentioned investigation of the restaurant. They lockdown the building, disallowing anyone from entering or exiting, especially regarding any former employees. Jeremy still shows up to guard the place and manages to enter, even when it escalates into a complete closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on Night 6.

"SAVETHEM" Children[]

Disembodied Minigame Voice,

Five deceased children, murdered by WIlliam Afton, appear bleeding scattered throughout the SAVETHEM minigame, respectively located in the Main Hall, Party Room 1, Kid's Cove, Prize Corner, and at the Show Stage.

"Take Cake to the Children" Children[]

Six children appear in the Take Cake to the Children minigame, who wear green shirts, blue pants, and brown shoes. Freddy Fazbear, controlled by the player, must serve the kids cupcakes to keep them happy. Otherwise, they will become red and annoyed, eventually turning angrier and redder, if neglected long enough. In an alternate depiction of the event in Security Puppet's Minigame from Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, William drives up to murder Charlotte Emily, which slows the game down and prevents Freddy from serving the patrons anymore.

In the older version of the game's mobile port, only two customers are present in the pizzeria.

The sprites for Freddy and the kids were later reused for an FFPS teaser. A picture of the minigame also appears on the Terminal during the Completion Ending.

The children's sprites are reused yet again in the Fazerblast: FNAF 2 level of Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2, where the player hits them to keep the kids happy.
