History[]
Meg named Alec as a combination of "Alexander" and the name Ian wanted, "Eric." After Hazel was born, she and Ian became more strict with Alec. Meg began looking for ways to mend Alec's behavior into something nicer and more friendly to match her vision of a perfect family. She tried going to her older sister, Gigi, for help and was given a few options, most of which were simply to not outcast Alec and treat him like a normal kid. Meg ignores those suggestions but does switch to organic milk. Eventually, Meg uses a book called The Growing Child to come up with exercises to shape Alec's behavior, as the book argued children need to be self-molded like clay. She and Ian have Alec change his name, try planting a garden, and go camping, but all three end in disaster.
A week before Hazel's tenth birthday, Meg comes up with a plan using Chapter Five of a new book titled The Plan Planner. The chapter states that in order to get a well-behaved, predictable child, parents are to treat them as the opposite of that. She discusses Chapter Five with Ian and convinces him to go along with the plan. The next day, the two constantly scold Alec for his behavior and actions. However, Hazel begins to behave poorly instead, showing Meg a less-than-stellar grade on her spelling test and rudely asking how many cavities Meg had during her last dentist visit. The following day, Hazel burps at the breakfast table when Meg scolds Alec over proper manners, says Meg looks haggard, and asks when Meg had last made an edible vegetable. Meg and Ian try to discuss Hazel's shift in behavior after dinner, but when Ian doesn't refute Hazel's haggard claim the two argue. Eventually they go to bed, with Meg informing Ian that she can't find the book.
Meg oversleeps and rushes to Freddy Fazbear's Family Pizzeria without showering or brushing her teeth. She jams her hair under an old baseball cap and has dark circles under her eyes, and while Hazel insults her appearance Alec tries to assure Meg that she looks fine. In a daze, Meg runs two stop signs so she can make it to Freddy’s on time to meet with Gigi and plan out Hazel's party. While Alec and Hazel play with the arcade games, Meg and Gigi discuss the Super Surprise Party Package with a Party Prepper, adding extra Fazbear Funwiches.
