- Were you looking for the real-life Markiplier?
Mechiplier is a secret boss fought in the Stellar Pit level from Freddy in Space 2.
Physical Appearance[]
Mechiplier is a caricature of the YouTuber Markiplier, with a form consisting of a disembodied head and a pair of hands. Its head can split in half to reveal a metal skull.
Attacks[]
While masked, Mechiplier's hands will shoot bullets in the directions they are pointing. When unmasked, Mechiplier's skull will shoot a sweeping wave of bullets from its mouth.
In-Battle Strategies[]
Dodging the bullets coming out of the hands is easy, as all the player has to do is stand on the platform to either the left or right. As for the bullets coming out of the skull, a crosshair will indicate in which direction the wave will go, and the player has a narrow time window to dodge.
Mechiplier can only be damaged while unmasked. It is recommended to use Chica for this, as her high-ranging shots can easily reach Mechiplier from the platforms.
Trivia[]
- Its name is a portmanteau of mechanical and Markiplier.
- Mechiplier takes on the form of a boss with a big head and two giant floating hands. This trope is common among Nintendo games as well as many retro franchises. The boss itself likely takes inspiration from Sigma, final boss of Megaman X for the SNES, and Big Fuzz, a boss from Contra III: Alien Wars.
- Several earlier sprite files for Mechiplier can be found in the game files.
