Mask Bot is a class of S.T.A.F.F. Bots that works in Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. One individual makes its first appearance in the RUIN DLC for Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, and later in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2.
Physical Appearance[]
Mask Bot is overall similar to Map Bots wearing glasses and their chestpiece is entirely yellow, with a black lowercase "i" printed in the middle. Unlike other S.T.A.F.F. Bots, the mask bot has bunny ears on top of its head similar to Vanny's and unlike Maps Bots do not wear a white hat.
Functionality[]
The Mask Bot are employed to hand out bunny masks, to Fazbear Entertainment IT technicians working within Mega Pizzaplex. These S.T.A.F.F. Bots have a habit of jumpscaring the player, but this will not alert nearby animatronics. Instead, they will follow it up with a request for the player to take a mask, no longer jumpscaring them on sight. When the mask is taken, the Mask Bot will deactivate.
Role[]
Only one Mask Bot exists when entering the ruins of the Pizza Plex. It will jumpscare Cassie similarly to a map bot before handing out a bunny mask to her although this will not alert any animatronics. The Mask Bot will then short circuit and deactivate, not being seen again after this encounter.
Trivia[]
- Before release, Ray McCaffrey confirmed on Twitter that Map Bot is not in the DLC.
- This was subverted by the very similar "Mask Bot" appearing instead.
- The Mask Bot's "ears" are made of metal that was peeled from its head, which could mean Mask Bot was not originally a Fazbear Entertainment LLC model of S.T.A.F.F. Bot.
- It also still has the Map Bot's holder for Faz Maps, which is too small to hold a Security Mask.
- Making progress through Help Wanted 2, there is more evidence pointing towards Mask Bot being Cassie's father, which ties up the questions about what happened to him and why Mask Bot has Rabbit ears. That could confirm Cassie's father has been stated to have liked Bonnie the best.
