The Mail Bot is presumably an earlier variant of a S.T.A.F.F. Bot and likely the mail sorter and shredder at Murray's Costume Manor. It first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic.
Physical Appearance[]
It shares a similar appearance to the S.T.A.F.F. Bots but is fully a shiny gray metal, with yellow eyes, a smiling grin, and a blue mail hat with a carrier signal flag attached to it. It wears a blue buttoned-up vest and a black bow tie, with black shoulder pads. Its arms are fully metal with white hands. Its lower half seems to be a mix of a paper shredder and a chair.
Personality[]
As seen in the demo, the Mail Bot has a very chipper demeanor, and is mostly focused on his task. Unlike the S.T.A.F.F bots, his voice seems to be comprised of pre-recorded lines rather than simple text-to-speech.
Despite Mail Bot's cheery and work-driven personality, he seems to have moments where he becomes "aware"- saying things like "Where am I? Am I in a prison?" on occasion. It is currently unknown if this has greater implications.
Functionality[]
In the PAX demo, Mail Bot is found in the Manager's Office in front of a desk, and he is completely docile. He simply cycles through dialogue, occasionally grabbing sheets of paper from the desk and shredding them.
When the player starts a generator in the office, Jackie will arrive. As she begins to approach the player, Mail Bot speaks, which prompts Jackie to attack him. She grabs him, slams him into the floor and ceiling, and then throws him through a wall to the right of the player. The player has to escape the office through the newly made opening, where Mail Bot's malfunctioning remains are found.
It is unknown if there are other Mail Bots in the Costume Manor.
