“So, any cool places to hang out around here?” |
Kelsey is the tritagonist of The New Kid, the third story in Fazbear Frights 3: 1:35AM. He's a new teen at Devon and Mick's high school who makes friends with everyone, although seemingly prefers being around the two outcasts. Depending on how one interprets the story, Kelsey could be considered the main antagonist.
Physical Appearance[]
Kelsey is good-looking with wavy blond hair, blue eyes, straight teeth, and broad shoulders. He usually wears jeans torn at the knees and a watch. On his first day of school, he's wearing cool ripped jeans and a faded black T-shirt. The next day, he wears baggy black pants with a gray T-shirt and a black-and-red plaid shirt tied at his waist.
Personality[]
Kelsey is a very friendly, funny, and charismatic person, which allows him to make friends easily. He is also very observant, constantly evaluating people. Kelsey is very keen on justice, believing it to balance the scales by removing the downside so it can’t outweigh the upside. He likes legal shows and courtroom dramas, claiming to want to be a “real judge” someday. Kelsey also enjoys urban exploring. Despite Heather’s clear interest in him, Kelsey gets rather annoyed by her and her friend group interrupting his plans, although he never raises any objections and simply lets them derail the plan.
History[]
Kelsey starts his first day at his new school hanging out near the stairs and watching as other kids enter the school, including Devon. Kelsey manages to become friends with many of the kids at his school, including Mick. Mick properly introduces Devon to Kelsey and they begin to hang out together during lunch. The next day, Mick explains to Kelsey what happened to their old clubhouse. Kelsey promises the pair he will let them use a workshop at a farmhouse his parents purchased for their hangout. The next day, in their social studies class, the topic of justice is discussed. Kelsey explains that justice is something that removes the downs so it doesn't outweigh the ups. Heather, a pretty popular girl that Kelsey was getting along with, views justice as payback, and when asked if payback goes too far simply says that accidents happen. Only Mick and Kelsey don't find the joke funny.
After school, Devon and Mick meet up with Kelsey and his neighbor, George, who offers to drive them to get supplies. Suddenly, Heather and her friends appear, and she tries to talk Kelsey into letting them come along too. George offers to make two trips and Kelsey is put in an awkward spot as Heather's friends fill up the truck, leaving Devon and Mick behind.
A few days later, Devon takes Mick and Kelsey to an abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to explore the place. They look around and find a closet full of costumes, then they find an old Golden Freddy suit. When Devon first found Freddy's, he had planned to harmlessly scare Kelsey and leave him with the suit and lock him in there for a few hours as an act of jealous revenge. This doesn't go as planned. It horribly backfires when the springlocks activate and kill Kelsey.
Kelsey suddenly reappears at the end of the story, alive and well, in which he introduces himself as a new kid at a school, and asks a couple of local kids if they know any cool places to hang out.
Speculation[]

This section archives a lot of theories and speculation, which usually occurs from pre-release media, or just things that are still unknown, so please keep that in mind while reading. The page will continue to be updated with the most accurate information as more solid evidence is supplied. |
- The final story of Bunny Call, The Man In Room 1280, gave a potential explanation to what Kelsey is. In the story, the evil spirit within the Man (implied to be Andrew from the Stitchwraith Stingers) creates a physical manifestation of itself to torment the nurses that tried to end the man's life. This physical form took on the appearance of a little boy with an alligator mask and curly black hair. At the end of The New Kid, as Devon is about to die from getting his body sucked into the Golden Freddy suit, he notices the dead corpse of someone with curly black hair. Because of this, Fans have theorized that Kelsey was another manifestation of Andrew or that the corpse was actually Andrew. Although his motivation for targeting random bullies at school, or how he even goes to school in the first place, are unknown.
- The name of the most commonly theorized Golden Freddy spirit in the games timeline is Cassidy, the etymology of which means "curly-haired". Due to both this and Cassidy's hair being described as black in The Fourth Closet, it is often theorized that the body within Golden Freddy could be hers, and even that she is responsible for controlling Kelsey (as he takes on traits from Golden Freddy himself).
