As she divides the money from the purse with Jack and AJ, Kasey finds a goody bag . She notices a pair of cardboard glasses that are labeled "Put on the glasses, and Ballora will dance for you." Kasey tries on the glasses and sees Ballora dancing at a distance. When AJ and Jack try the glasses, however, they cannot see her. The next day, when Kasey puts on the glasses, Ballora seems to be closer. She becomes worried that Ballora is following her.
Kasey decides she wants a fresh start in life. She takes her share of the money from the warehouse and buys a bus ticket to Memphis, Tennessee. At the bus stop, an old lady at a bus stop advises her that "if you try to run from your problems, those problems might end up following you." After the bus trip, Kasey finds herself at the Royal Café Diner manages to get a job. Her old habits follow her, however, as she steals tips. The manager becomes suspicious and before he can fire her, Kasey leaves town. Later she has a nightmare where Ballora accuses her of being a liar and a thief.
Regretting her actions, Kasey takes a bus to Nashville. She finds a promising job but doesn't have a nice outfit for the interview. She goes to a store and finds that while she can purchase a dress, she does not have enough money for shoes. Once again, her old habits overtake her and she attempts to hide the dress and the shoes in her backpack. When she tries to step out of the door, the anti-theft scanners trigger the alarms, alerting the staff. Ballora then suddenly appears outside of the store, stopping Kasey from escaping. Full of tears, she confesses to her mistake and tries to explain why she tried to steal the items. Full of pity, an old woman buys the dress for Kasey.
Kasey returns to her hotel room but still sees Ballora along the way. Suddenly, an idea springs into her mind, She finds the address of Sarah Avery, the woman she stole from that night at Circus Baby's Pizza World. Kasey admits to the theft and returns Avery's stolen items. She forgives her and Kasey returns the glasses to Sarah’s daughter, Isabelle.
