Was That the Bite of '87?![]
Was That the Bite of '87?! is an officially used Five Nights at Freddy's meme.[1] It is a series of meme edits based on the YouTuber Markiplier's reaction to the post-Night 5 minigame cutscene's Bite of '83 event, which was previously thought to be the Bite of '87.
The meme's popularity has risen since December 2019, while becoming the first officially confirmed Five Nights at Freddy's meme by Know Your Meme. The clip's audio sample is used in The Bite: CLOAK x Five Nights at Freddy's event as a song remix.
Bootleg Freddy Plush[]
The Bootleg Freddy Plush is an unofficially licensed Freddy Fazbear plush toy known for its exaggerated and poorly made face. The photo of the bootleg plush batch was first uploaded on knowyourmeme.com on June 13, 2016.[2]
In Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, the rockstar animatronics' drawing from the office shows Rockstar Freddy with a face somewhat similar to the Freddy plush bootleg. In Security Breach, from the Zombonnie pinball machine, one of the animatronic zombies is directly referenced after the Freddy plush bootleg. In Freddy in Space 3, from the Merch Cemetery level, the bootleg Freddy plush is used as Bootleg Foxy's attack projectiles.
YEVEY[]
YEVEY is a photo of Scott Cawthon that was photoshopped to look symmetrically mirrored and was originally done by a fan from the official Five Nights at Freddy's Reddit around 2017. This strange Photoshop originates from one of Scott's selfie photos at The Fright Dome event.
This meme was later referenced in a couple of games. From the intro of Freddy in Space 2, Freddy's spaceship has YEVEY's name on it. From the starting intro of Security Breach: Fury's Rage, when Scott imagines himself being a hero in his dreams, he wears a T-shirt written with the YEVEY text. YEVEY also briefly appears in the Meme Cavern level of Freddy in Space 3, where he was seen frozen in the level's background.
Feddy[]
Feddy is a poorly drawn version of Freddy Fazbear. At first, it was originally drawn as Bonnie by Tumblr artist phillip-bankss on April 29, 2015,[3] and gained popularity on February 16, 2020, when the Tumblr user vennitrii uploaded an image of phillip-bankss' Bonnie edited as Freddy Fazbear, inspiring a redraw series in the following months.
He later shows up in Freddy in Space 3, where he was seen frozen in the Meme Cavern level's background.
Peter Afton[]
Peter Afton refers to William Afton from the sixth page of PinkyPills' Five Nights at Freddy's fan comic due to his vague resemblance to Peter Griffin from the animated sitcom television series Family Guy, and thus the page has been redrawn and recaptioned as a humorous and exploitable meme format.
Peter Afton, as William Afton in PinkyPills' depiction but with facial features to look like Peter Griffin, officially shows up in Freddy in Space 3 as one of the hidden visual Easter eggs in the Meme Cavern level, where he was seen frozen in the wall of ice from the level's background.
Dabbing Chica[]
The Dabbing Chica refers to the Survival Logbook artwork of Chica on page 64, where she is taking a selfie, with her pose looking like she is doing the dab.
She is referenced in Security Breach: Fury's Rage as Glamrock Chica; after completing a level, she does the dab. Dabbing Chica was also seen in Freddy in Space 3, frozen in ice from the Meme Cavern level's background.
Buff Helpy[]
Buff Helpy is a photoshopped image of Helpy edited with a real-life muscular man's body. The meme became popular with the fan community ever since December 17, 2019, after Dawko expressed his reaction in his second FNaF Meme Review video.
Buff Helpy officially appears in Freddy in Space 3 as a boss at the end of the Meme Cavern level and in Into the Pit as an arcade character, the latter going by the name "Helpules," a portmanteau of Helpy and Hercules.
Toon Freddy Sings[]
The animated gif of toon Freddy from Freddy & Friends: On Tour! singing "HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA!" in a colorful, sparkling background. This is a parody of the famous He-Man and the Masters of the Universe meme of He-Man singing "What's Up."

This is a highly suggestive take on the animatronic, Toy Chica. She appeared as an enemy in Freddy in Space 3.
Perfect Place for These Guys[]
This is an edit of an image taken by X/Twitter user @RealEstateMaxi, where he asked what stuff would look good in an extended part of his house above his front door. Universal Studios would go on to edit the film's versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy onto the extended platform with the caption "Feels like the perfect place for these guys."[8]
THE MIMIC!!![]
This is a gif of The Mimic leaning towards the screen with his hands out while shouting his name really loudly. The original animation was inspired by a YouTube rap video, Squid Game vs. Mr. Beast, and specifically the Mr. Beast introduction clip at the beginning of the video, itself a notable meme. It was made into a pin by Youtooz.
PIZZA!!![]
The PIZZA!!! meme seems to originate from Garrett Williamson's "How to Make Five Nights at Freddy's Not Scary" videos, where Chica only says, or screams, pizza the whole video.[9]
This meme was adopted into the franchise following the release of Help Wanted, where Chica can be seen quickly walking to an open box of pizza in the final blacklight level of Night Terrors. The meme would later seemingly become one of Glamrock Chica's main personality traits, with many of her voice lines being about her love for pizza.

Scream if you Love POPGOES[]
Scream if you Love POPGOES is a meme uploaded by Kane Carter and edited by pablothinghouse.[12] The video is an edit from the official NBA TikTok account of LeBron James screaming after being told, "LeBron James, scream if you love POPGOES," followed by a slow-motion clip of James paying tribute to Kyrie Irving with POPGOES-related sounds and imagery.
Rat and Gremlin[]
The Rat and Gremlin meme is an officially created meme shared by Emil Macko.[13] The meme depicts Monster Rat charging Mary with StupidButterfly's OC, the gremlin, flying next to Monster Rat. This is also the first look at the updated Fanverse version of the bedroom.
Ignited Bonnie Punching[]
The Ignited Bonnie Punching meme is of Ignited Bonnie punching the protagonist from The Joy of Creation: Story Mode. This meme is also often edited with a second clip that plays after Bonnie's punch. The Joy of Creation creator, Nicodemo Sitá, would share an officially created edit of the meme in 2023, which seems to also be the first time Ignited Bonnie's jumpscare animation was shown off.[14]
