The hardmode animatronics are recolored animatronic counterparts who appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, exclusive to blacklight modes.
Physical Appearance
Their appearance is exactly the same to the original counterparts, except reskinned with different textures to reflect the blacklight modes.
Animatronics
Dark Freddy
“The Dark version of Blacklight Freddy from Special Delivery is entirely pitch black except for his glowing eyes, creating one of the worst jump scares of the entire series. It's like being swallowed into an infinite void. Oh, and he has Dark Freddles, too. Brr.” |
Dark Freddy is the hardmode counterpart of the original Freddy Fazbear colored in pitch black saving for the white glowing eyes and teeth, reminiscent to the original Shadow Freddy from Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
In the blacklight mode of Freddy's level from the Parts and Service mode, he serves as the original Freddy's replacement with same functions. Dark Freddy appears alongside dark versions of Nightmare Freddy's Freddles, who appear on top above Dark Freddy at the beginning of the round. One of them ends up glitching and briefly replaces the watch that is required to be removed from the circuitry of Freddy's chest.
Neon Bonnie
“Another variant from the Blacklight mode in Help Wanted, Neon Bonnie appears in psychedelic neon colors. You can see him if you unlock Blacklight mode in the Parts and Service level, and he appears-very, very rarely-in the Dark Rooms segment, if Bonnie's endoskeleton spawns and you approach it.” |
Neon Bonnie is the hardmode counterpart of the original Bonnie with trippy-looking neon colors.
In the blacklight mode of Bonnie's segment from the Parts and Service level, he serves as the original Bonnie's replacement with same functions.
In the FNAF 1 mode's Night 5 segment, Neon Bonnie will jumpscare the player if the original Bonnie catches the player.
Neon Bonnie also appears in Funtime Foxy's Dark Rooms level segment in blacklight mode but was extremely rare to encounter. While playing this level, Bonnie's endoskeleton has an immensely rare chance to spawn. If this endoskeleton was approached enough, Neon Bonnie will come out of nowhere and jumpscare the player, ending the level.
In the Night Terror mode's Pizza Party level, he will suddenly appear to jumpscare and end the level if the original Bonnie approaches the player in full contact.
Neon Chica
“Another variant from Help Wanted's Blacklight mode, Neon Chica is very similar to Neon Bonnie in her design and function. Like Neon Bonnie, she appears in the Parts and Service mode, replacing Chica on that level. Neon Chica also has a neon version of Mr. Cupcake, who's actually brighter and more visible than Neon Chica, on account of his candle. In fact, he has a Mexican Day of the Dead look to him! But check out Catrina Toy Chica...” |
Neon Chica is the hardmode counterpart of the original Chica with trippy-looking colors (similar to Neon Bonnie), and Nightmare Cupcake replacing the original Cupcake.
In the blacklight mode of Chica's level from the Parts and Service mode, she serves as the original Chica's replacement with same functions.
Neon Chica also appeared in the FNAF 1 level's Night 5 segment in her jumpscare when the original Chica reached the player. In the Night Terror's Pizza Party level, if the original Chica approaches the player in full contact, Neon Chica will appear to jumpscare and finish the level.
Burnt Foxy
“This version of Foxy only appears in the Blacklight mode of Help Wanted, and only on Foxy's level of the Parts and Service mode. But unlike the other Blacklight Animatronics, he doesn't appear in Pizza Party because there's no Foxy in that level. Burnt Foxy is based on the original Foxy, just with charring to his suit, and no pupils in his orange glowing eyes. The charring appears to reveal even more of his inner workings. Yikes!” |
Burnt Foxy is a hardmode counterpart of the original Foxy with a nearly charred-looking suit and eyes which lack pupils.
In the blacklight mode of Foxy's level from the Parts and Service mode, he serves as the original Foxy's replacement with same functions.
He is the only blacklight animatronic not to appear in the Night Terrors mode's Pizza Party level, due to the original Foxy's absence.
Dark Foxy
“Another blacklight-mode variant of Foxy from Help Wanted, who appears in the mini game based on the original Five Nights at Freddy's, He's like a black-and-white-movie version of Foxy, with a glowing white eye in the style of Blacklight Freddy.” |
Dark Foxy is an alternative version of Foxy that appears in the FNaF 1's hard mode level. While not referred to as a separate entity within the files, he has been considered to be an alternate variant by many fans.
Dark Foxy is almost exactly identical to that of regular Foxy, with the primary difference being that his colors are entirely monochromatic & his eye is pure white.
Dark Foxy will sit in Pirate Cove, needing to be watched by the player to prevent him from rushing down the left hall. Should Dark Foxy leave the cove, the player must quickly shut the left door before he arrives. He also attacks if the player looks outside their office.
Shadow Mangle
“A shadow animatronic that looks similar to Mangle, but with different colored eyes. Attacks alongside Mangle in the blacklight level of Vent Repair: Mangle.” |
Shadow Mangle is a hardmode counterpart of the original Mangle. It is a shadow counterpart of Mangle, colored completely with pitch-black tints, saving for the eyeball and teeth.
It serves as an extra antagonist alongside regular Mangle in the blacklight mode of Mangle's Vent Repair level.
Party Freddy
“Another Blacklight-mode version of Freddy, Party Freddy appears in the Blacklight version of the Pizza Party level, in which you must roam the pizzeria in search of a pizza party before the timer runs out. You also have to avoid all the other animatronics in various rooms. If you do run out of time, well, guess who turns up for a jump scare. Party Freddy is just like Blacklight Freddy, except his eyes and mouth are outlined in red. Who invited him to the party anyway?” |
Party Freddy (also known as Pizza Party Freddy) is another hardmode counterpart of Freddy. He is a shadowy, silhouetted version of Freddy with red eyes and teeth.
Party Freddy's model is identical to Dark Freddy, only colored in neon black and with a different textures to reflect the blacklight mode.
In the Night Terrors's Pizza Party level, he will appear to jumpscare and end the mode if the player wastes enough time to progress the level.
Trivia
- There is a notable glitch when Neon Bonnie's texture map was blended with Endo-01's for his jumpscare in the hard mode of Funtime Foxy's Dark Room, named in the files as Beacon Bonnie.
- The Freddles has an unused hardmode counterpart for the Curse of Dreadbear DLC, called Burnt Freddles.
- In Full Time Edition, Dark Freddy and Neon Bonnie can be seen shaded white instead of the normal pure black. It is unknown why this change was made in the Full Time Edition, nor why Freddy and Bonnie were the only ones affected.
- Shadow Mangle is the only hardmode animatronic with merchandise. That being it's Youtooz Collectible.
