History[]
Backstory[]
“This place was huge in the '80s with the kids. It's been shut down for years. The only reason they haven't given it the old, uh, "wrecking ball treatment" is that the owner is a sentimental guy, I guess.” |
According to Steve Raglan, the restaurant was opened sometime in the early 1980s and was fairly popular with the general public. However, an incident occurred where William Afton, dressed in a Spring Bonnie suit, lured five children to the back of the pizzeria and murdered them.
The police thoroughly searched the building top to bottom, but due to the bodies being hidden inside of the animatronic characters, No evidence of the murders were ever found. The pizzeria was closed sometime after this incident.
There were apparently several break-ins over the years during the restaurant's closure, mostly by "drunks and vagrants" according to Steve Raglan.
Five Nights at Freddy's[]
“I have a job for you. (...) It's a security gig.” |
In the movie, which takes place in April 2000, the restaurant has been closed for quite sometime and is in a state of decay. The job of security guard is given to Michael Schmidt, after the previous guard was murdered by Foxy. Mike "works" in the pizzeria for two nights, before a group of vandals, consisting of Jeff, Carl, Hank, and Maxine, break in during the day and trash the place, hoping to get Mike fired for criminal negligence. However none of them make it out alive, as each are killed by one of the animatronics, with their bodies being stuffed into suits in Parts and Service.
Mike begins to bring his sister to the restaurant due to no longer having a babysitter to look after her. However, after she is shocked by Bonnie's guitar and knocked unconscious, he decides to call his Aunt Jane to look after her during his shift. During his fifth night, he is caught by Foxy and placed in the torture chair, which he is luckily able to escape. He passes out near the exit due to blood loss and is rescued by Vanessa, who takes him away to bandage his wounds.
Abby is later lured back to the pizzeria by Golden Freddy, who invites her inside with the intention of making her like them. She is escorted to Parts and Service by Chica, who tries to stuff her in the Ella suit. Mike sneaks back into the pizzeria and temporarily disables Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, saving his sister and tries to escort her to the exit. However he is stopped by William Afton, wearing his Spring Bonnie costume, and is kicked down to the floor.
Abby hides in the ball pit where she is perused by Foxy, who eventually catches her. However he is electrocuted by Vanessa, who also tries to get her out of the pizzeria. She is stopped by her father, who stabs her and tries to get to Abby. She manages to dodges him and runs over to the wall of children's drawings, replacing the picture of the missing children happily with Spring Bonnie, to one of him holding a knife surrounded by the dead children. This causes the animatronics to turn on William, giving Mike, Abby, and Vanessa the chance to escape the pizzeria.
As they leave the ceiling and lights begin to fall behind them, as well as William who suffers from a Springlock failure caused by Mr. Cupcake. As he falls to the ground and bleeds out, he is dragged by Foxy into the pizzeria, followed by the other animatronics, just as the interior of the building collapses.
Trivia[]
- Not only are the children able to control the animatronics, they also seem to be able to control the building.
- They seem to be able to open and lock doors, leave messages on walls, and tamper with other electronic devices.
- Freddy's head on the logo appears to be traced from the cover of the Survival Logbook.
- In a behind-the-scenes video by 8-BitRyan, he shows a paper that has a date for when "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, LLC" was registered. It says 04/05/79 (April 5, 1979).[1]
- Since this was never said or shown in the final film, it's debatable if this is useable information.
- The fire escape door at the end of the security hallway does not seem to exist on the exterior of the building.
- Interestingly, the location shares the same name of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator location, though there doesn't seem to be any other correlation.
