Freddy's Fantasy Water Park is a fictional location that appears in the Tales from the Pizzaplex series. It acts as the main location in the story Submechanophobia.

Animatronics[]

Attractions[]

Freddy's Sealife Mechaquarium[]

The Mechaquarium is the park's primary attraction, located in the centre of the park. It's a large, circular aquarium that houses all of the water park's animatronics, except from the defunct squid that's located in the workshop. It's visible from every other attraction, and is deep enough for animatronic technicians to require specialised diving equipment to carry out in-tank repairs. The inside is full of faux, coral, rocks, plants and seashells that are built up to resemble what it's like under the ocean. There's a maintenance area nearby, with a narrow path around the outside of the glass walls for the same purpose, with another, enclosed area on top of the Mechaquarium that allows technicians to dive into the water with the animatronics. This enclosed area houses the controls for the power source to the attraction, the controls to the mechanical blue tarp cover over the water, and the diving equipment necessary to enter it.

The water of the attraction is filled with powerful chemicals to keep it clean and to kill any fungus or naturally growing plants that may be present. However, this appears to be ineffective at killing the years worth of algae build up from the park's unmaintained closure as there is still a significant amount of it on the faux sea rocks.

Bonnie's Sea Ponds[]

This attraction is mostly undescribed. It's to the West of the Mechaquarium, and includes two kids pools and the main diving pool.

Freddy's Treasures and Eatery[]

This attraction is also undescribed by the book for the most part. It's to the South of the Mechaquarium and houses a gift shop and food kiosks.

Chica's Fairy Boats[]

This attraction has a pier by Freddy's Treasures and Eatery to the South of the Mechaquarium and is very popular. The boats take guests around the outside of the Mechaquarium, and is the closest guests are allowed to be to the animatronics on display. Despite the park's owner Martin discouraging it, kids on these boats typically lean over the sides to get a better look, and the attraction has to be closed every time maintenance on the animatronics is needed.

Foxy Island's Water Slides[]

This attraction is to the East of the Mechaquarium and contains clear tubed waterslides and a games area. In between them, is the maintenance workshop and the employees lounge. The workshop is full of rows of giant metal shelving, animatronic parts, paint cans, tools and other such resources, with a workbench at the back wall that Caden uses in the story to work on a defunct squid. There's also unused mascot costumes for Freddy, Chica and Foxy, as well as one of Chica's Fairy Boats that can't be used due to a hole in the bottom of it.

Background[]

The place is a Fazbear themed water park located in the fictional town of Meadow Brook. The park is designed in the shape of a wheel, with the Mechaqarium at it's centre and the other attractions being placed around it. To the North of the Mechaquarium is the park's main entrance and the offices, to the East is Foxy Island's Water Slides, to the South is Freddy's Treasures and Eatery, and the pier for Chica's Fairy Boats, and to the West is Bonnie's Sea Ponds. Due to the park's several year closure and lack of money spent on renovations, it can be assumed the entire park is rather rundown during the story, compared to how it was before.

History[]

The park was popular for a while and packed on weekends until it's initial closure. There was no official reason for the park's closure given at the time, with park employee Roy, theorising it was because of financial issues, while Caden the protagonist's Grams, and various other clues suggest much more mysterious reasons. The park's owner Martin reveals that part of the reason for closure was because of teenagers pulling pranks, and much later in the story, it's mentioned that Martin was also in severe debt at the time. After several years, the park reopens with no money spent on renovations, meaning the animatronics of the Mechaquarium attraction are rusted, worn down, and frequently needing repairs. The reasoning for the park reopening is stated to be an attempt to ride the success of the Mega Pizzaplex that opened a few towns over.

By the end of the story of Submechanophobia, the park has been closed again due to the discovery of Jason Butterfield's remains in the Mechaquarium, and has been bought by Roy. The park is going to be renamed to Roy's Fantasy Water Park, and he plans to bring the mascot characters back, as well as parades and live music to make the park better than when he was a kid that frequented it.
