Fredbear's Family Diner was a local family restaurant owned by Henry Emily and his business partner William Afton.
Background Appearance[]
Only little detail is revealed about Fredbear's before it was closed down. It was a long single-story building with its walls painted red and its interior had tables covered with red and white checkered tablecloth[1] and had wooden floors.[2]
When The Silver Eyes takes place in 1995, the building has fallen into a state of dilapidation, with a dark roof and weather-beaten walls.[3] The walls had worn out with long strips peeled and curled with wood showing beneath, appearing to be dark and rot.[3] It was overgrown with tall grass surrounding the building[3] and in the grass, there was a battered metal sign with the words, "Fredbear's Family Diner" written with red script.[4]
Animatronics[]
- Fredbear (often worn by Henry)
- Spring Bonnie (often worn by William)
History[]
Backstory[]
Fredbear's Family Diner was opened before 1983 by Henry Emily and his business partner William Afton. Henry created the two mascots for the diner, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, both featuring the springlock mechanism that he created. They were suits that could switch between costume and animatronic. In 1983, during a Halloween party, Afton donned the Spring Bonnie suit and kidnapped and murdered Charlotte Emily (in Charlie's mind, Sammy was the one abducted). Making the diner close its doors.
The Silver Eyes[]
As they were walking in the woods, Charlie reveals to John that Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was not her father's first restaurant. Remembering suppressed memories from her childhood, she describes the appearance of the diner and recalls how happy her father was back then. Charlie also remembers she was always with her twin brother, Sammy. She wants to find that location, and John tells her if she remembers anything to help find it. She remembers a train, a scary-looking tree, and a small part of a melody that her parents used to sing and harmonize ("We're back in harmony".) That's when John tells Charlie that there is a town called New Harmony, so they decide to drive there.
Once they found the city, they drove through the area but they couldn't find the old diner. As they were about to leave, Charlie notices something in the dirt and tells John to stop the car. She runs toward the landscape to find a metal bar that belonged to some old railroad tracks. Charlie later finds a group of trees that led her and John to the old diner. John holds up a sign, telling Charlie that it was the right place.

The sign in the ground in front of the building.
When they entered the diner, they began exploring the place. When Charlie entered a closet, she remembers a detail from the past. She was playing in that same closet with her twin brother until a man in a yellow rabbit suit appeared and kidnapped her brother. When she snapped back from her memory, John asked her if she remembered anything, to which Charlie replied that she remembers a lot. They then leave the building.
