The reader plays the role of Cassie. Previously, Gregory and Cassie have snuck into the Pizzaplex after hours by hiding behind a pillar near the entrance as the Pizzaplex closes. This has prompted Pizzaplex management to improve the location's security. One night, Gregory informs Cassie that he has a "special idea" for one of their visits to the Pizzaplex. Cassie, not wanting to make Gregory think that she is "not up for whatever plans he has in mind," agrees to play along. On the first night, Gregory and Cassie play hide and seek, with Glamrock Freddy as the seeker. The other animatronics are strangely present, and there is a locked crate in Montgomery Gator's Green Room. Cassie may hide in Roxy Raceway or the Superstar-cade. Regardless of where she hides, Freddy searches in an increasingly aggressive fashion. Freddy finds Cassie and appears to be violent, when Gregory exits his chest cavity and reveals the prank. Cassie pretends that she was okay with this. On the second night, Gregory and Cassie play hide and seek again, with Montgomery Gator as the seeker. Gregory hides in Bonnie Bowl, while Cassie may either hide in Bonnie Bowl or Monty's Gator Golf. Regardless of the hiding place, Monty violently searches for her, destroying a S.T.A.F.F. Bot while visibly glitching. Monty finds and attacks Cassie, but Gregory shuts Monty down using an unknown handheld device. Gregory claims that Monty's behaviour was the result of a glitch. On the third night, Cassie attempts to leave the Pizzaplex due to concerns about Gregory's behaviour. She is stopped by Freddy, who forces her into his chest cavity. Cassie is then placed in Glamrock Freddy's Green Room several hours later. Cassie attempts to leave, but Freddy reveals that the Reagent is now active. Gregory and Freddy lock Cassie in the main kitchen, stating that she can hide in the kitchen while they disable the Reagent. The Reagent later enters the kitchen using the same door that Gregory and Freddy leave from. The Reagent eventually sprays Cassie with its chemicals, but Roxanne Wolf manages to rescue Cassie as she passes out. The fouth night begins as Cassie wakes up in Roxanne Wolf's Green Room, recovering from the Reagent's chemicals. Cassie resolves to escape the Pizzaplex with Roxy's help. Regardless of the path they take, Cassie and Roxy find Freddy arguing with Gregory. Roxy then covers Cassie's eyes as Freddy appears to kill Gregory. Freddy then chases after Cassie. As with the first night, Gregory exits from Freddy's chest cavity as Freddy moves to attack, revealing the prank. This time, Roxy was collaborating with Gregory. Angry at Gregory and feeling betrayed by Roxy, Cassie runs off to hide in a supply closet. The fifth night begins after Cassie remains in the supply closet through the following day. Roxy finds Cassie and apologizes for her behaviour, stating that she believes she feels that she wasn't acting normal. Cassie suggests that Roxy should perform a system scan, which reveals that Gregory tampered with Roxy to make her assist him in the previous night's prank. They also learn that Gregory programmed her to attack Cassie some time during the current night. They resolve to undo Gregory's tampering using the Pizzaplex's main computer. As they arrive, they learn that Gregory also tampered with the main computer. Cassie chooses the correct option out of three choices (either rock, paper, scissors or red, yellow, green), which removes Gregory's modifications to Roxy. The computer also shows the Reagent as it is reprogrammed to eliminate Cassie. Together, Roxy and Cassie destroy the Reagent, allowing Cassie to leave the Pizzaplex. During one ending, the player gains an Executive Clearance keycard. During night 4, Cassie can then obtain Monty's claws from the locked crate in his green room, and install them onto Roxy. This allows Roxy to disable Freddy to end night 4, and destroy the Reagent directly during night 5. |

The book was initially revealed on July 26, 2024, on Bookmanager.[1] Later in September, the first cover artwork would be revealed,[2] and a day later, on September 4, the release date was moved from May 6 to April 1, 2025.[1] In December, the cover artwork was updated to add and change details.[2] In the following months, in February 2025, various websites would get a short preview for the book.[3] On April 1, 2025, the book would officially release in stores and digitally.
