As the rabbit approaches Oswald to attack him, the doll starts laughing in a high pitch, louder and louder.

  • Page 117: Oswald decides to ignore the girl's voice and goes onto the street. Suddenly, the whole world around Oswald blurs and speeds up, like someone pressed a fast-forward button. He ends up in the present day, but now he also looks older. Oswald sees Dad frantically looking for him, but Dad doesn't believe him when he says that he is the older version of Oswald. Oswald sadly watches as he is declared a missing person and starts a new life under a new name.

Trivia[]

  • When discussing the book, Kress stated that there were two playthroughs. When asked by a fan about how this will work, Kress explained, "Basically after you read/play through the book one time, there's a thing that happens at the end that allows you to go back, re-read the book, and play a different game in it."[2]
    • This appears to be the case for most of the novels in this series, as in The Week Before the reader receives a mobile phone during the Night 6 ending and is encouraged to re-read the book with the mobile phone bonus item to get the book's final ending.
  • On one of the old covers for Return to the Pit, The Yellow Rabbit's eyes are yellow, instead of the usual blue.
    • This was later updated on September 17, 2024.

Her face, legs, and arms are bone white, and she has a bloodred nose and crimson circles on her cheeks. Her entire appearance is unnerving." - Return to the Pit
