The Five Nights at Freddy's film has a lot of deleted scenes that were either removed from the finale script or cut from the post-production editing.

Deleted Scenes[]

Markiplier's Original Role[]

Originally, Markiplier was meant to be Bob, the security guard at the beginning of the film, but since he was too busy making Iron Lung, he wasn't able to be in the final film.[1]

Max Character Development and Toby[]

Revealed to us by Kat Sterling on X/Twitter, her character Maxine was supposed to have a dog named Bonesy.[2] Bonesy can actually be seen in the final film for a few seconds in the truck, right as Jeff is opening up the garage door. It was also revealed that Max was supposed to have more time on screen than she did in the final cut.

Max Getting Out of the Car[]

According to Kat Connor Sterling on TikTok, there was supposed to be a reason for why her character decided to get out of her vehicle.[3] It was stated that the reason she followed the ghost of Freddy was actually because Max just wanted to make sure the child was okay, but the line of dialogue was cut.

Alternate Max Death[]

In one of the original drafts for the movie, Maxine wasn't meant to be chomped in half by Freddy Fazbear but was rather going to die in a pool of blue paint that got spilled on her.[4]

Alternate Afton Death[]

Originally, Afton was never meant to say his iconic "I always come back" line, and the springlocks were never even meant to appear in the film. Instead, Afton was going to be pinned down before the Cupcake was let loose inside of his Spring Bonnie suit.[5] Bonnie was also supposed to swing his guitar and hit Afton in the face.

Deleted F-Bomb[]

In the post-credits scene, when the Cabbie is jumpscared by the Balloon Boy figurine, he was originally meant to yell, "What the f**k!"[6]

Alternate Hank Death[]

Originally, Hank's death was with Bonnie holding Hank by the neck and impaling his guitar into him.[6]
