- In a prologue that was released by Popverse, the originally unnamed security guard seen at the beginning of the film is named "Bob". It is unknown at this time if that's his real name or exclusively official to the novel.
- Scott Cawthon stated in a Reddit post that the Doug seen in the novel is not canon, as Scott accidentally submitted an out-of-date version of the novel that had Doug do out-of-character actions.[1]
