Jessica comforting the kidnapped children, Five Nights at Freddy's: The Fourth Closet

Jessica is a deuteragonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's novel series. She is also one of the main protagonists of Five Nights at Freddy's: The Fourth Closet.

The Freddy Files Description: "After the murders ten years earlier, Jessica moved to New York with her family. She grew up to be sophisticated and pretty, with a love of fashion only surpassed by her love of forensics. While people often underestimate her, Jessica frequently finds herself taking on the role of leader and strategist. She is one of Charlie's best friends."

Physical Appearance[]

Jessica is described as being rather tall and very thin. She has glossy, shoulder-length brown hair. She dresses elegantly, embracing her femininity, usually wearing nice blouses and bright colors.

In the graphic novels, her hair was changed to blonde, possibly to differ her from Charlie. In The Silver Eyes: Graphic Novel, Jessica wears a pink mock-neck tee with blue short shorts and wears white earrings. In The Fourth Closet: Graphic Novel, Jessica wears a different outfit, that being a purple long-sleeve button down shirt, jeans with a belt, hoop earrings, a purple crystallized necklace, and purple high heels.

Personality[]

She’s polished and immaculate, speaking as though she had everything in life figured out. Jessica can be considered one of the more active members of Charlie's friend group, as she is a consistently present figure in all three Novels, and is willing to put herself in danger for her friends. Jessica seems to have a fashionable side to her, as she insists on giving Charlie a makeover when she says John asked her out on a "date."

History[]

The Silver Eyes[]

In 1995, Jessica arrives in Hurricane, Utah, to attend the launch of a scholarship dedicated to her old friend Michael Brooks, who went missing a decade earlier due to an incident at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Appearing in Chapter 1, she reunites with John and Carlton Burke. Charlie later shows up, and in the middle of their awkward conversations, the four start to talk about Freddy's. They then decide to revisit Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a restaurant Charlie's father once owned. Carlton claims that an incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place.

Upon further investigation, the friends discover the restaurant is still standing and that the mall had been built around it. After they find a way to break in, they explore the abandoned restaurant and find that the animatronics, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, and Chica, built by Charlie's father, were still on stage.

The next day, Jessica and her friends attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him.

That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Lamar, Marla, and her 11-year-old brother Jason. They discover the still-functioning control panel which makes the robots move, and Charlie finds a fourth robot: Foxy.

That evening, the friends go to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza again, and while doing so get caught by the mall's security guard, Dave, who threatens to call the police. Charlie offers to let Dave explore the restaurant with them, and he accepts. Inside, the friends play with the control panel, and while they are distracted, Dave retrieves a yellow Bonnie costume from a closet and abducts Carlton, which Jason witnesses. The group flee the restaurant and fetch Police Officer Dunn, only to find that the restaurant's door has been chained up while they were gone.

The next day, Jason runs off, intending to rescue Carlton, while Charlie, John, Lamar, Jessica, and Marla break into the restaurant to find him. As they search for a way out, the four robots come to life and pursue them through the restaurant. William reveals that the robots are possessed by the vengeful ghosts of his victims, and boasts that they will hunt down and kill any intruders. The group tries to hide in a party room, but all four robots corner them.

However, they are halted by the arrival of a fifth robot, the yellow Freddy from Fredbear's Family Diner, which all the group soon realize is possessed by Michael. The yellow Freddy allows them to leave, and Chief Burke arrives to search for the missing Officer Dunn. William attacks in the yellow Bonnie costume, but Charlie activates its spring locks, killing him.

As the robots drag William's corpse away, Chief Burke escorts everyone out of the mall. The friends go their separate ways, and before leaving Hurricane.

The Twisted Ones[]

A year later, Jessica enters the University of St. George with Charlie. During the time they spend together, they become more united, to the point where Jessica is very concerned about what happens to Charlie and what she thinks, especially when they learn that John was coming to visit her, so Jessica is very interested in what happens between the two of them.

Later at some point, Charlie and Jessica go back to the abandoned pizzeria. Charlie does not tell Jessica that the reason for the return is that some animatronic killers created by William Afton are lurking around, but Jessica thinks Charlie just wants to make sure "everything is over." Once inside, they discover Dave's body, William Afton, inside the suit where he was killed. Seeing that it was impossible for William to have something to do with the tragedy that was happening, Charlie and Jessica leave the pizzeria.

Later, John, Jessica, and Clay get a response that Charlie was captured. John proposes to ask Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, (who are kept in Clay's basement) to help them rescue Charlie. In the basement, John asks for their help to stop the creations of William Afton. However the five animatronics don't respond at first until John mentions William Afton which causes the animatronics to go berserk and haywire leading them to escape. John, Jessica, and Clay decide to follow them with the hope that they will be taken to where Charlie is.

The three were guided to an underground pizzeria, where they finally find Charlie. However, they are surrounded by Twisted Bonnie and Twisted Wolf, commanded by William Afton, who is now undead; With his new body, he calls himself Springtrap. The four manage to escape, even managing to burn down Twisted Bonnie and Twisted Wolf. Then Charlie sees that Springtrap escapes and starts chasing him, leaving her friends behind. John, Jessica, and Clay are surrounded by Twisted Bonnie, Twisted Wolf, and Twisted Freddy. However, they are rescued by the original Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, as they destroy the twisted animatronics.

Taking advantage of Freddy Fazbear clearing the path of the Balloon Boys, the three meet again with Charlie, who is fighting against Springtrap. Suddenly the building begins to collapse and Springtrap escapes. Without another option, the four begin to look for the exit.

When they are about to leave, Charlie is captured by a damaged Twisted Freddy and introduced into the springlocks trap. Jessica, John, and Clay try to free her, with Jessica trying to deactivate the springlocks and open the rib cage. However, the trap is activated and Charlie is crushed by the mechanisms of the suit.

Jessica, in the final chapter, meets up with John, Arty, and Marla, as the four of them are talking about Charlie's death, just then "Charlie" but in an altered appearance comes in the diner, as Jessica and Marla happily run up to her. However, Arty and John remain at the booth confused.

The Fourth Closet[]

Jessica first appears in Chapter 1, where she is driving her car, she then sees John, and asks him if he can meet up with her and the group at Carlton's house. John reluctantly accepts, and Jessica drives away.

She is seen again, with Carlton and Marla at Carlton's house. By the time John arrives, they are excited that he came. The group then starts to talk about Charlie, and how she's different lately.

Jessica later appears at the hospital with John, Marla, Charlie, and Carlton where Clay is recovering from his brutal injury. When the doctor says Clay will be okay, everyone is relieved except for Charlie. The doctor then tells everyone to leave, later Jessica comes up to John with a woman crying, she then tells John her son has been kidnapped. John and Jessica assure the woman that her son will be found alive. After that, John and Jessica talk outside about what the woman said, figuring out a way to solve the problem. Jessica then later drives away back to her apartment.

Later, John and Jessica drive to a town called Silver Reef, upon arrival, they both see a house with a shining star on it, at the house, they discover that Charlie's Aunt Jen lives there. Jen asks the two of them about knowing Charlie. Just then, Charlie arrives and Jen tells the two to hide until further clarification. Jessica and John go upstairs and see a chest, they opened it, and much to their shock it was the real Charlie but unconscious. They take real Charlie with them, and as they come downstairs, Aunt Jen is found dead by the fake Charlie. Jessica and John drive away with the real Charlie.

Jessica later follows the fake Charlie, who reveals herself to be Circus Baby and is captured by her, and brought to Circus Baby's Pizza. She forces Jessica to perform surgery on a weak William Afton who has escaped the SpringBonnie suit. Jessica completes the surgery and is thrown into a room where the recently captured kids are being held.

The kids reveal to Jessica, that they were the ones kidnapped, suddenly a mangled Funtime Foxy comes in and takes one of the kids. Jessica and the three remaining kids stay in the room terrified, until Marla and Carlton show up to rescue them. Marla shoves the illusionary device into Jessica's ear, as Carlton goes to find the taken kid. Marla, Jessica, and the three kids run to the exit, however they are being chased by Funtime Foxy. Marla and Jessica try to fend the fox off from harming the kids.

When they reach the exit, Funtime Foxy is near, so Jessica decides to distract it and go for her. She tells the other four to go out. Jessica takes the device out, and the fox starts chasing her through the pizzeria, even in the tube maze. Jessica escapes, as Funtime Foxy falls into a ball pit.

Jessica is then later encountered by Bidybabs. Jessica manages to fight them off, by tossing them into the ball pit. Then Jessica, Marla, and the three kids were able to make an escape.

The day after, Jessica, Marla, John, and Clay are in the hospital, near Carlton's side as he is recovering from his near-death injury.
