Spring Bonnie (also known as Yellow Rabbit in Five Nights at Freddy's: The Ultimate Guide) is the main antagonist of Into the Pit, the first story of the book of the same name , as well as the video game adaptation of the story.

Physical Appearance

In the story, Spring Bonnie is described as a yellow version of Bonnie with fuzzy yellow fur and big paws and feet. It's unclear if he's an animatronic or a living creature. Spring Bonnie has blank and dead eyes that "didn't feel like a living creature's eyes." He usually has an unchanging grin, but he can unhinge his jaw and open it incredibly wide to reveal double rows of sharp fangs. Spring Bonnie is wearing a purple bow tie. After his death, he's nothing more than a dirty, empty yellow rabbit costume.

On the cover, and in the unused illustration, his head is large and body rotund, similar to Nightmare Fredbear's. His eyes are blue, with organic material surrounding them. A black liquid (possible physical manifestation of agony) is leaking out of his right eye socket. Inside of his grinning jaw are huge square-ish teeth. He also has two black buttons under his purple bow tie.

History

Spring Bonnie first appears during one of Oswald's visits to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in the past, through the ball pit at Jeff's Pizza. Nobody seems to notice the golden rabbit except for Oswald. During another visit, Oswald spots Spring Bonnie standing lifelessly in the corner of a room, staring.

On Oswald's last visit to Freddy's, something is amiss, as customers scream and escape the pizzeria. Spring Bonnie lures Oswald to the back room of Freddy's, where he sees Spring Bonnie's six other child victims, who were murdered and had party hats put on their heads. Spring Bonnie pursues Oswald towards the present day, where Oswald's father is waiting. Suddenly, Spring Bonnie drags Oswald's dad down the pit and emerges from it, taking Oswald into his dad's car and quietly driving off.

For a couple of days, Spring Bonnie seems to just impersonate Oswald's father, with even Oswald's mother finding nothing wrong with him. It watches television, sleeps in a bed, and drives like a normal person. Only Oswald (and possibly his cat) can see Spring Bonnie for what he truly is. One night, Spring Bonnie beckons Oswald downstairs where he offers him pizza, never saying a single word to him.

Finally, Oswald sneaks off to Jeff's Pizza, entering the ball pit for the last time, where he finds his dad and is confronted by Spring Bonnie. Spring Bonnie and Oswald begin to fight, with Oswald getting a few good punches in. Spring Bonnie manages to bite into Oswald's arm with his unhinged, fanged jaw, drawing plenty of blood from Oswald, who punches the animatronic to get free. In the end, Spring Bonnie ends up tangled into the ball pit's netting, with part of the net strangling him. Noiselessly, he struggles and begs Oswald for help, ending up asphyxiated and hung in the ball pit. Suddenly, Spring Bonnie appears empty and rotten, his hung form almost appearing like it was there all along.

Speculation

"I was the first! I have seen everything!" This section archives a lot of theories and speculation, which usually occurs from pre-release media, or just things that are still unknown, so please keep that in mind while reading. • In the series, when something is possessed by agony, it's represented by a black liquid similar to blood. As Spring Bonnie shows "black blood" coming out of the eye on the cover, it is implied that he's possessed by agony. He is most likely possessed by the exact same agony that had been infecting most of the objects throughout the Fazbear Frights universe after the death of William Afton at the Fazbear Entertainment Distribution Center, which is further supported by the epilogues from Fazbear Frights 8: Gumdrop Angel and Fazbear Frights 9: The Puppet Carver.
• This story seems to be the first explaining the power of the illusion disc. Only Oswald saw Spring Bonnie for what he really was, because he had seen him in the 1985 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Every other person saw Spring Bonnie as Oswald's father, because that's what they expected to see. Jinx, Oswald's cat, also saw Spring Bonnie for what he was because Jinx has no expectations as to what will walk through the door.
  • This also explains all the balloon children appearing in The Twisted Ones. Charlie heard a child in the location near her father's house, so she expects to see a child. The others arrive, and Charlie says that there are robotic children around them. She then explains the illusion disc shows what the person expects to see.
