Trivia[]
- Interestingly, Felipe was given a code for Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit by Mega Cat Studios, Inc.
- According to him, he was hesitating to stream the game due to what happened the last time he streamed a Five Nights at Freddy's game, but after getting an OK to stream it by Mega Cat, he thought, "Why not."
Controversies[]
In early 2020, Phisnom was criticized by some fans, and even by Scott Cawthon, for creating Another FNaF Fangame: Open Source, which was a remake of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, and even using the same exact animatronic models. Scott later demanded that Game Jolt remove the game, however, Scott thought of an alternative, and instead hired Phisnom to be part of the Fazbear Fanverse so that Phisnom could create his own game that Cawthon would approve of.
In July 2023, Phisnom sparked controversy after tweeting that RUIN was boring, leading fans to disagree. One user named Alex, who quoted Phil's thread, joked that Phil's game, Five Nights at Freddy's Plus would be boring when it released. This caused fans of Phisnom to begin sending threats and even media containing gore towards Alex. Phisnom received critical backlash for joking about Alex's situation instead of condemning the behavior and defending Alex. As a result, Phil was removed as a developer from the game's Steam page and social media accounts, leading some to speculate he had been fired. Phil posted a video on his YouTube channel on August 4th, 2023 explaining the situation in-depth and revealing that he is no longer developing Five Nights at Freddy's Plus and has been terminated from the Fazbear Fanverse. While the game's future was not clarified in the video, the game's Steam page was taken down the following day on August 5th, 2023, seemingly confirming its cancellation.
