This is a page for all Easter Eggs found in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
Most of these rare moments are randomized, and can occur at any time on any night, even as early as Night 1.
List of Easter Eggs[]
Hidden Developer Messages[]
Identical to the first game, surrounding the "HELP WANTED" and "ROBOTS SCRAPPED" newspapers are hidden messages from Scott Cawthon giving taunting advice towards the player.
- "Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. This ad has nothing to do with anything relevant to the game. Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. Chances are you won't make it past night three. Blah. Blah. Yackity smackity. Blah. Blah. This probably isn't the best choice of a summer job, since you most likely won't survive the week. I'd recommend being a cashier, sack boy, or work in a warehouse. Those are all very respectable jobs, and you probably won't be killed doing them. Well, you might, but it would be unlikely. Blah. Blah."
"Celebrate!" Poster Honk[]
Just like the first game, if the player clicks on Toy Freddy's nose from the "Celebrate!" poster from the left side of the Office, it will emit a honk sound.
JJ[]
- See JJ for more information.
Every time the Camera Monitor is put down, a "random image" value used for several easter eggs is set to a random number out of 1,000. If this is equal to 9, a recolored, feminine version of Balloon Boy named JJ will appear hiding under the Office desk the next time the monitor is brought down. She has no effect on gameplay, and disappears when the monitor is brought up again.
RWQFSFASXC[]
- See RWQFSFASXC for more information.
There is a 1/16,384[1] chance when the monitor is put down for a dark silhouette reminiscent of Toy Bonnie named RWQFSFASXC to appear in the Office. Staring at it for at least four seconds closes the game. To avoid this, the player must shine the Flashlight (regardless of whether a hallway animatronic causes the flashlight to be temporarily disabled, it will get rid of RWQFSFASXC). Doing so will cause RWQFSFASXC to fade away.
If an office animatronic causes a blackout, then RWQFSFASXC's spawn opportunity is terminated. The Freddy Fazbear Head as well as keeping the cameras up without flashing RWQFSFASXC does not work on him either.
Paper Buddy[]
Only on Night 7, there is a 1/100 chance for one of the paper plate dolls that resides in Party Room 4 called Paper Buddy to activate at AI level 1. This results in a standard 1/20 chance to move every 5 seconds. Upon succeeding the movement opportunity, they will leave Party Room 4 once the monitor is brought up, and reappear on the far right wall. It has no effect on gameplay.
They are camera stalled when the camera for Party Room 4 is actively viewed. They additionally have a unique formula for getting stunned with the flashlight, but since they can only activate on Night 7, it is always 50 frames.
Shadow Freddy[]
- See Shadow Freddy for more information.
Every time the Camera Monitor is put down, a "random image" value used for several easter eggs is set to a random number out of 1,000. If this is less than or equal to 100, then a purple version of Withered Golden Freddy with large glowing pupils and teeth named Shadow Freddy will appear sitting in Parts/Service, if none of the other withered animatronics are there. He has no effect on gameplay.
Endo-02[]
- See Endo-02 for more information.
Every time the Camera Monitor is put down, a "random image" value used for several easter eggs is set to a random number out of 1,000. If this is 100 or less and the Puppet has left the Prize Corner, a spare Endo-02 appears in standing at the Prize Corner. If this number is 3, then an Endo-02 will appear in the Left Air Vent.
The Puppet Camera Visions[]
There is a 1/50 chance for one of four transparent images of the Puppet to appear in place of the camera static for very short intervals once it has escaped the Prize Corner. This can only be seen if the player quickly turns on and off the flashlight and happens to be watching a camera that the Puppet is occupying. Curiously, the fourth image is a lot less common.
Eyeless Screens[]
There is a 1/1,000 chance each for the player to experience an image of one of three eyeless animatronics, much like the eyeless Bonnie screen from the first game. While the images are being displayed, the sound that plays is the sound the flashlight makes when it is temporarily disabled by a hallway animatronic, repeating itself until it's over.
- Withered Freddy rarely appears after the warning screen.
- Toy Bonnie rarely appears after the game over screen.
- Withered Foxy rarely appears when the player starts a night.
Death Minigames[]
There is a 1/10 chance after the player is jumpscared that they will get to experience a minigame. These reveal bits and pieces of the game's backstory. These minigames include:
The game code was originally set to only play these minigames if the player was killed by the Puppet.
William Afton[]
- See William Afton for more information.
There is a 1/100 chance whenever the player exits to the right doorway of any room in the SAVETHEM death minigame for William Afton to appear, rapidly advancing towards Withered Freddy. Upon successfully catching the player, a screen consisting of blue bars with scanlines appears, followed by a single message in the bottom left corner simply reading "you can't". This results in the minigame closing itself a second later.
Trivia[]
- RWQFSFASXC was intended to be a 1/1,000,000 chance. However, due to the program overflowing with random number generation at 65,535 and being limited to 16-bit integers, he actually has a 1/16,384 chance of appearing.[1]
- Due to how the "random image" value easter eggs work, it is very possible, and sometimes likely, for multiple to appear at the same time. This includes both Endo-02s appearing at once.
