History[]
Before the Epilogues[]
Doctor Talbert is a scientist who specializes in Remnant, a mysterious bubbling liquid mercury. He studied it because his daughter Renelle was sick as a kid, and he wanted to use remnant to hold onto the good memories in case he lost her. He created a heart shaped pendant made from Remnant. Renelle eventually got better, and he gave her the pendant as a gift.
At some point, his wife dies and the family is torn apart. Dr. Talbert dives deeper into his scientific studies as a coping mechanism and goes as far as kicking Renelle out of his house, sending her to a boarding school.
Talbert met Phineas Taggart at least once, as evidenced by a photo of the two together he has in his house, and it's likely they were friends and worked together. He had also usually been called as a consultant in various cases surrounding mysterious disappearances of teens, sometimes linked with a weird red and white female-shaped mannequin which parents claimed to have seen before their children suddenly disappeared. The reason for that was likely the fact that the mannequin, who's actually an evil entity which calls herself Eleanor, wore the pendant Talbert made for his daughter.
Fazbear Frights #10 - Epilogue[]
Dr. Talbert hears someone ringing the doorbell, thinking it's a delivery, and he's surprised when he finds out it's seemingly Renelle, accompanied by the Stitchwraith. He hugs her, happy to see her again after thinking he had lost her forever.
When the Stitchwraith attacks Renelle, making her fall into the shelters and apparently causing her to be seriously injured and bleeding out, Talbert, panicking, takes a gun and fires three shots at the animatronic. The third shot damages the Stitchwraith's battery pack and causes it to fall on the ground, unable to do anything. He puts a pillow under Renelle's head, and goes into another room, returning with a rolling metal tray containing Remnant. He then calls the police, saying he had a break-in, and prepares an IV transfer of Remnant to inject the liquid into his daughter and save her.
Only after the transplant is finished he finds out that the thing he thought to be Renelle is actually not his daughter at all, but rather Eleanor masquerading as her in order to obtain Remnant and gain power. Frightened, Talbert draws back as Eleanor shows her true form and opens wide her unhinged jaw.
Fazbear Frights #11 - Epilogue[]
Dr. Talbert was horrified to see her daughter be replaced by a monster. He watches as the Stitchwraith absorbs Eleanor into its endoskeleton body, leaving her animatronic body inanimate. The Stitchwraith leaves, and Dr. Talbert is confused on what happened.
The Stitchwraith is able to find the real Renelle, and give the father and daughter a proper reunion. Dr. Talbert patches up her relationship with Renelle as the weeks go by. He is eventually visited by a detective named Everette Larson, who was unconscious on the floor during the incident with Eleanor. Dr. Talbert explains his reasoning for creating the pendant, and ultimately gives it to Larson, wanting nothing to do with it.
