Were you looking for Devon Blaine Marks, the protagonist of the same name from The New Kid?
Devon is the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's: VIP, the zeroth edition of the interactive novel series. He is a twelve-year-old video game fan and the older brother of Ike.
Physical Appearance[]
Not much is specified about Devon's appearance, except that he and Ike look incredibly similar.
Personality[]
Devon is very determined and guile, and with a desire to be important and special. He hates having to look after Ike, who he sees as an embarrassment who keeps him from doing the fun things he wants to do; however, he also mentions that before Ike started following him around, he was lonely. He seems to like things that are cool and modern, and finds V.I.P. to be annoying. He also dislikes following rules. He is fast to act rude, and when panicked often loses his more logical sense of thinking.
He loves video games, and has been playing a lot of first-person shooters. Devon is also a fan of all things Fazbear, and is able to recognize Balloon Boy on sight despite him never appearing in the Pizzaplex. He finds Bonnie Bowl to be boring, and prefers to play in the Fazcade with his friends. He is the best at Catch-That-Fetch.
History[]
Devon is six years older than his brother, Ike; before his brother started following him around, Devon was very lonely. When Ike was little, his Mr. Cupcake plush went missing, and Devon was blamed for it despite not having done anything, which made him upset.
Devon and his family lived near Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, but Devon wasn't usually allowed to visit, as his "boring parents" didn't like the lights, noise, pricing, or animatronics. Devon occasionally visited for a classmate's birthday, but was unable to do more than play a few arcade games with the limited tokens he had.
Five Nights at Freddy's: VIP[]
Unexpectedly, Devon receives two special VIP passes to the Pizzaplex through an email. Surprised because he didn't enter anything, Devon's parents check up with the employees to make sure the prize is legitimate. Though he wants to take a friend, and become popular as his classmates vie for the ticket, his mother forces him to bring Ike with him instead. She plans to have a spa day while the boys are occupied, though as she drops them off she has second thoughts and asks if they want her to go inside. Devon reminds her that she'd already signed the permission forms, and convinces her to leave.
Devon receives his VIP passes, which are old and dirty. He can either try them at the terminal or the gate; if he goes to the gate, Glamrock Chica will redirect him to the terminals anyway, but give him a clue to go left when lost.
At the terminal, the brothers are greeted by the digital Very Informative Pig, who gives them a gamepad with him inside and asks them to be his friend and follow his instructions. This opens up the first choice of the book.
Don't Make a Promise You Can't Keep[]
Devon says that he doesn't want "Pig Brother" telling him what to do. An upset VIP does allow the boys to continue, but when Devon tries to turn him off once inside, he tells Devon that he will take him on a behind-the-scenes tour. Wanting to brag about being given hidden access, Devon follows his instructions, leading the boys into the maintenance tunnels. VIP then tricks Ike into trapping the boys in a storage room containing four bodies in various stages of decomposition, having been tricked by VIP and locked inside. Devon tries to escape, only to find the door locked. VIP gloats that the boys will now stay with him forever.
Promise to Stick with VIP all Day[]
Ike excitedly asks Devon to take him to Bonnie Bowl, and Devon has the choice to either do such or to ditch him and VIP at the Carousel. If he takes Ike to Bonnie Bowl, he has a boring day at the Pizzaplex and leaves dissatisfied. If Devon directs him to the merry-go-round, Ike immediately changes his mind and runs for the attraction. Devon abandons him and a protesting VIP there, and goes to the arcade to play with his friends, who quickly abandon him after getting bored by the Fazcade. VIP then starts to appear on screens, angrily confronting Devon at a terminal in the Atrium. VIP announces that he has Ike hostage, and Devon can get him back by winning his challenge.
If Devon reports VIP to the Pizzaplex staff, they don't believe him and are unable to find Ike, leading Devon's family to move away in despair. If Devon calls his mother, VIP lets Ike out, convincing Mom that Devon was just being irresponsible and refusing to play with his brother. Ike takes the gamepad home with him and soon disappears; Devon knows he went to the Pizzaplex, but is unable to prove it.
VIP's Challenge[]
In accepting VIP's challenge, Devon receives five Faz-Tokens, and is told to earn a thousand points at various games by the end of the day in order to get his brother back. He will only be able to play each game once, and he has to ask VIP for help at some point. At this, VIP then gives him a new, pink gamepad. At this, Devon is given the choice to explore the Fazcade, the Atrium, or Rockstar Row.
- In the Fazcade, Devon is reminded of his brother by a Chica Candy Crane and begins to have a panic attack. He can try Mangle's Quest, and while he finds it unplugged, he finds a Faz-Token underneath. If he plays the candy crane, he will try to get the Mr. Cupcake figure for his brother, only to fail and get 100 points and a "Bonnie Bites bag. He returns to the Atrium.
- In Rockstar Row, Devon can either investigate the display cases or doors.
- At the display cases, Devon stops at the display of Mr. Cupcake, thinking of Ike. At the end of the cases is a Balloon Boy figure, offering a balloon and 100 points. Devon also spots a Faz-Token under the figure's foot, which is optional to grab. If he inserts a token, he gets 100 points and a purple balloon, which he ties to his arm
- At the doors, Devon has a choice between three doors: a red door behind a cutout of Monty, a Security door he might be able to look for Ike inside of, and a VIP door that he cannot enter unless he's gotten 100,000 points. The Security Door will lead to him being caught by a security guard, but released and given a toy Security Badge.
- The Red Door will lead him to the maintenance tunnels, and he continues despite VIP telling him to stop, only to find the room of decaying bodies and be trapped inside, leading to an ending.
Atrium[]
Exploring the Atrium, Devon is given the choice between Monty's Maze, Freddy's Fazer Blast Challenge, and Roxy Raceway. He also sees a hidden alcove with some arcade machines near it.

Freddy's Fazer Blast Challenge[]
Roxy Raceway[]

Completing the Challenge[]
If Devon gains 1,000 points and completes the challenge, VIP will become upset but lead him to Ike, who joyfully reunites with him. VIP will then tell the boys that he plans to do this to several more children, and Devon realizes that nobody will believe him if he tries to warn them, so all the boys can do is leave in fear.
MOE Ending[]
Gaining 100,000 points will grant Devon access to VIP's room, which causes the pig to panic. Devon enters and sees all the computer terminals, and vows to shut off the program for good. The Virtual Informative Pigs lead him to a large cord that he unplugs, shutting off the pig as well as the Pizzaplex's power. Devon is able to escape and joyfully reunites with his brother. The two of them report VIP to a security guard, who believes them and promises that Fazbear will cover up the incident. The boys then swear to never tell their mother what happened, and instead say the day was "very informative."
