Darryl Cunningham is a minor character in Submechanophobia, the first story from Tales from the Pizzaplex 4: Submechanophobia.
Physical Appearance[]
Darryl has honey-blond hair, a slim body, and is well-dressed. He's also described as having a skinny chest.
Personality[]
Darryl is Caden's school bully, and has never let him forget the field trip he was scared on. He's the instigator behind many rounds of teasing, name-callings, shoves and beatings, even going so far as to give Caden a sprained arm and a concussion when his pranks had gone too far. He's described as Caden's friend during the flashback to the field trip they went on in second grade (ages 7-8), where he's enthusiastic and excited about living on a submarine and seeing all the cool sights on the submarine ride, indicating that the trip was a turning point for them. In the present day, Darryl is still teasing Caden about the field trip, and looks down on him for not going to university like him and Yasmine. He complains that Yasmine's little sister Marie, loves the water park because he prefers the Mega Pizzaplexes. He later leads Marie into pulling a prank on Caden with a horn and silly string, and uses this interaction to brag about how how he won a giant stuffed Bonnie in a ring toss game, once again putting Caden down in the process. When he's stood up to, Darryl immediately becomes aggressive, getting in Caden's face and only stopping when reminded that Marie is present, and Caden walks away from him.
History[]
Darryl was described as Caden's friend during the second grade (ages 7-8) field trip, and never again throughout the entire story of Submechanophobia. From that point on, he's become the typical bully of school, leading other kids in bullying Caden, both physically and verbally, constantly reminding him of how he wet himself on the trip. Yasmine was a part of this group, despite being one of the few kids in school to treat Caden better than that, but she doesn't ever seem to defend him either. Darryl appears not to have changed much since their graduation a year prior, and continues to put Caden down in every interaction with him.
