- Old Candy could be implied to be the grandfather of the twins, with Cindy calling him "Gramps."
- "Gramps" is also a common term to refer to an elderly man, often as endearment, and can be used by anyone, regardless of the people's actual relation to one another, just like how Old Candy refers to Candy and Cindy as "kiddos."
