Chica the Chicken, also known as Chica, is a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's film. She is the backup singer of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Chica is portrayed via animatronic puppet effects provided by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, alternating between a stationary animatronic puppet and a full-body suit with an animatronic head. The body suit was performed by Jess Weiss, while the facial and animatronic controls were puppeteered by Amanda Maddock.

Chica's appearance is almost identical to her appearance in the first game, aside from minor differences. She is a yellow color with light yellow pads on her hands and has an orange color on her beak, lower legs and her feet along with two white claws. While her eyes remain similar to her first incarnation in the first game, they are now a darker shade of magenta with a slight red tint. Her beak is now made of fiberglass as opposed to molded plastic. Her lower legs and feet are made with a different type of fabric instead of plastic.

Ghost Kid[]
The Ghost Child who possesses Chica, is shown to be a young girl with two ponytails and has a yellow and white raglan shirt. A piece of cardboard is shown to be strapped around her neck, similar to Chica's bib, and lastly she wears brown straight pants.
Personality[]
Like her video game counterpart, Chica is an animatronic who kills any security guard working the night shift. It's said that she is the most intelligent and sadistic of the group as she is quite resourceful in her use of her cupcake companion and minion Mr. Cupcake, who she uses as a distraction and a weapon, especially to get to Jeff via the narrow air vents. She is also quite manipulative as she was the one who lures Abby into the springlocks suit.
However, Chica, like her bandmates, isn't a bad person and instead a very tragic individual. Like her friends, she was once an innocent girl who had her life cut short by William Afton who abducted her, killed her and stuffed her corpse inside the Chica animatronic suit alongside her friends. It's also mentioned by Vanessa that she and her bandmates don't want to hurt anyone, as they are influenced by William into committing all of their murders for him.
Despite this, Chica, like her bandmates, is shown to be kind and playful towards children, especially with her relationship with Abby. Despite being manipulated by Afton into attempting to stuff her into an animatronic suit and kill her brother, Mike, she does genuinely care about the girl, participating in building a fort with her and the others. Chica also cares for Mr. Cupcake, whom she is able to command, ordering him to do whatever she desires and having him immediately obey. This is shown when she ordered Mr. Cupcake to attack Carl in the kitchen, prompting him to leap out of his master's hand and maul the latter's face.
History[]
For an unknown certain amount of time, Chica along with Mr. Cupcake, killed several people under William Afton's control before Mike arrived as a security guard at Freddy's.
During Mike's first shift at Freddy's, as Mike explored the place, she was discovered by Mike whilst checking the animatronics behind the curtain on the show stage. After several minutes later when Mike fell asleep, the child appeared in his dream along with the other ghost children, When she was asked by Mike to as what happened to his younger brother, she and along with the other ghost children ran away from Mike.
Mike encountered Chica's spirit again in his second shift during his second dream sequence, when Mike asked furiously where Garrett was, she and the other ghost children ran away from Mike again. Later, Vanessa Shelly showed Mike Chica and the other animatronics because she wanted him to properly meet them.
After Mike's second shift, Chica and the other animatronics were activated after a group of criminals broke in and began hunting them down. Chica precisely was after Carl, who was vandalizing the kitchen. When Carl became distracted by a loud noise that was coming from the refrigerator, Chica snuck past right outside the kitchen without Carl's knowledge. When Carl discovered what was in the refrigerator, it was Mr. Cupcake. Chica distracted him so Mr. Cupcake could disappear and retreat back to her without him noticing. After realizing Mr. Cupcake was nowhere to be found, Carl turned around only to find Chica in front of him, who then let Mr. Cupcake to attack Carl, who killed him after viciously tearing apart his face. Chica then encountered Hank when he went to investigate the kitchen, Chica scared him which caused him to run away into the supply closet; unknowingly to his death, Bonnie was inside. Later on, when Jeff came into the office and checked on the security cameras, Bonnie and Chica were in one of the hallways. Chica then slowly bent down to let Mr. Cupcake crawl into the vents, but failed to attack Jeff, who successfully fended him off.
During Mike's third shift, Chica and the fellow animatronics attempted to kidnap Abby, but were interrupted by Mike, who was trying to rescue her. She went back to the show stage after Mike and Abby left the place.
During Mike's fourth shift, Chica and the fellow animatronics build a makeshift fort along with Mike, Vanessa, and Abby.
In the final dream sequence, when Mike ultimately refused to surrender Abby Schmidt to the ghost children, and they began to retaliate and attack Mike, nearly killing him.
During Mike's fifth and final shift, Chica lured Abby Schmidt into the backroom, and tried to kill her by stuffing her into Ella, but Mike rescued Abby after tasing Chica in her left eye, which caused her to deactivate.
After William Afton tells the animatronics to wake up because they have someone to play with, Chica reactivated and joined the other animatronics under William Afton's control and tried to take Abby, but after Abby drew a picture for the animatronics - of William murdering her and her friends - to show what he truly was, the memories of their deaths returned to the animatronics. Chica and the others ultimately turned against Afton after they discovered the truth about him.
After William Afton told them they are wretched rotten little beasts, Chica let Mr. Cupcake to attack Afton, biting off part of his suit which activated the springlocks within.
During the Spring Lock Failure, Chica and the other animatronics watched him as he suffered and writhed in pain, and with Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place internally collapsing before them, Chica and the other two animatronics followed Foxy into the engineering room.
It is uncertain at this time as to what might have happened to Chica along with the rest of the animatronics after Freddy Fazbear Pizza's Place internally collapsed.

- For unknown reasons, Chica's original actor Stacey Depass was replaced with Jess Weiss.
- Along with the other missing children, the soul inside Chica can be seen in the trailer, at the right next to the kid possessing Freddy.
- From the looks of the advertisements every character has a color they are assigned, with Chica's being purple.
- This is even more evident with the purple stained glasses featuring Chica and with the child having a purple balloon in the opening credits.
- Jimmy Fallon on a segment on his show called "Thank You Notes" mentioned Chica and said "Thank you, Chica from Five Nights at Freddy's, for also being next year's hot Halloween costume, Meth Tweety Bird."[2]
- Due to Mr. Cupcake acting as Chica's attacker, Chica herself never kills a single person while all the other animatronics get at least one kill.
