Bear of Vengeance (Fukushū no kuma, lit. 復讐の熊) is a Japanese samurai anime show and one of the watchable intermissions in Ultimate Custom Night, along with Toy Chica: The High School Years.

Cast of Characters[]

  • The Bear - The anime counterpart of Freddy Fazbear and the main character of the series.
  • The Fox - The anime counterpart of Foxy and the main antagonist of the series.
  • Mangle - The anime counterpart of Mangle and the secondary antagonist of the series, as well as the Fox's assistant.

Plot[]

The Bear narrates the futility of his battles against the Fox while lamenting his current punishment for the week, before rebounding and plotting revenge. The scenes then transition to the Fox in his dojo, gleefully remarking on the inevitability of the Bear's retaliation and declaring that he will be ready, while Mangle comments.

Each week, the Bear was forced to endure a different humiliation by doing household tasks.

Episodes[]

Episode 1[]

  • The Bear: Another sun begins to set on my fury, and my thirst for vengeance remains unquenched. I can hear the Fox laughing from his temple, but his reign of terror will soon be at an end. The air is ripe for revenge, and the blood on the Fox's hands will finally be scrubbed off with the scouring pad of justice. But the Fox is cunning, and devious, and has continued to somehow escape my grasp. I have tried to lay siege to his temple, time and time again, but to no avail. But the transgressions of the past cannot be forgiven. It ends tonight; I will have my revenge. I cannot fail again, as my last attempt exerted a heavy toll, and the consequence follows me still. In fact, it follows me everywhere. Behold, the sun sets, but my anger is a new sun, bleeding red over the Temple of the Fox. Tonight my attack will be unexpected, as it is my birthday. No one ever attacks on their birthday.
  • The Fox: HA! Today is that foolish bear's birthday. He will attack; how predictable. I have been anticipating this night; the trap is set. He should have learned his lesson. And let's not forget what happened to him last time! I hope he has been feeding his new friend.
  • Mangle: Brilliant! Can I come down now? I really need to go to the bathroom!
  • The Fox: This night marks the end of the Bear and his clan. He will remember this night; the night he was shown no mercy! Then again, if he wishes to suffer, maybe there is a better way. Yes, I know just the thing. That Bear will regret the day he crossed paths with me! Come to me, and see the price you will pay! It is a night you will not soon forget...

Episode 2[]

  • The Bear: Another sun begins to set on my fury, and my thirst for vengeance remains unquenched. I can hear the Fox laughing from his temple, but his reign of terror will soon be at an end. The air is ripe for revenge, and the blood on the Fox's hands will finally be scrubbed off with the scouring pad of justice. But the Fox is cunning, and devious, and has continued to somehow escape my grasp. I have tried to lay siege to his temple, time and time again, but to no avail. Last night's attack did not go as planned. I was captured, but set free on one condition... I must make the Fox breakfast for the next seven days. I suppose it could be worse. He eats his bacon so burnt that it turns black, like his heart. Monster. Behold, the sun sets, but my anger is a new sun, bleeding red over the Temple of the Fox. Tonight is his favorite show. He will be distracted, and won't see me coming.
  • The Fox: HA! The Bear doesn't realize that the reception is terrible here! He will attack; how predictable. I have been anticipating this night; the trap is set. He should have learned his lesson. That reminds me, where is my breakfast? That bear had better not screw up my bacon!
  • Mangle: You don't even eat them! You just use them to build little forts!
  • The Fox: This night marks the end of the Bear and his clan. He will remember this night; the night he was shown no mercy! Then again, if he wishes to suffer, maybe there is a better way. Yes, I know just the thing. That Bear will regret the day he crossed paths with me! I will crush you beneath my feet, and then I will humiliate you before your people. Yes, humiliation, that is the key. Now come to me, and see what I have in store for you!

Episode 3[]

  • The Bear: Another sun begins to set on my fury, and my thirst for vengeance remains unquenched. I can hear the Fox laughing from his temple, but his reign of terror will soon be at an end. The air is ripe for revenge, and the blood on the Fox's hands will finally be scrubbed off with the scouring pad of justice. But the Fox is cunning, and devious, and has continued to somehow escape my grasp. I have tried to lay siege to his temple, time and time again, but to no avail. Last night's attack did not go as planned. I took a gamble, and lost. The Fox is cunning. Now I must wear a symbol of humiliation when I go out in public. It must be this way for thirty days. It could be worse, I just wish it didn't attract so many flies. Behold, the sun sets, but my anger is a new sun, bleeding red over the Temple of the Fox. Tonight I will take my flute, and put the Fox to sleep before my attack! He will never expect that!
  • The Fox: HA! Nothing makes me angrier than the flute. He will attack; how predictable. I have been anticipating this night; the trap is set. He should have learned his lesson. Ha! The Bear looks very fashionable with his new hat! He should thank me!
  • Mangle: You have such delicious taste in hats!
  • The Fox: This night marks the end of the Bear and his clan. He will remember this night; the night he was shown no mercy! Then again, if he wishes to suffer, maybe there is a better way. Yes, I know just the thing. That Bear will regret the day he crossed paths with me! Clearly humiliation wasn't enough to deter your futile efforts, so I must be more creative. Yes, and I think I have just the thing. Let's put your determination to work, shall we? Come to me!

Episode 4[]

  • The Bear: Another sun begins to set on my fury, and my thirst for vengeance remains unquenched. I can hear the Fox laughing from his temple, but his reign of terror will soon be at an end. The air is ripe for revenge, and the blood on the Fox's hands will finally be scrubbed off with the scouring pad of justice. But the Fox is cunning, and devious, and has continued to somehow escape my grasp. I have tried to lay siege to his temple, time and time again, but to no avail. My attempt to overthrown the Fox last night failed. That failure came with a new and horrible burden, one which I can hardly bear. But it's just for the week. At least there are no linens. Behold, the sun sets, but my anger is a new sun, bleeding red over the Temple of the Fox. I snuck a dead fish into the pocket of his robe, he will be disoriented, and won't expect an attack.
  • The Fox: HA! What a delicious fish! He will attack; how predictable. I have been anticipating this night; the trap is set. He should have learned his lesson. My robes have never smelled so clean! I must ask him what his secret is!
  • Mangle: Too bad your white robes are all pink now!
  • The Fox: This night marks the end of the Bear and his clan. He will remember this night; the night he was shown no mercy! Then again, if he wishes to suffer, maybe there is a better way. Yes, I know just the thing. That Bear will regret the day he crossed paths with me! The Bear won't give up, he's the gift that keeps on giving. Hmmmm, what a delightful idea! I think you just need a greater purpose in life! So come to me, and let me give you one!

Episode 5[]

  • The Bear: Another sun begins to set on my fury, and my thirst for vengeance remains unquenched. I can hear the Fox laughing from his temple, but his reign of terror will soon be at an end. The air is ripe for revenge, and the blood on the Fox's hands will finally be scrubbed off with the scouring pad of justice. But the Fox is cunning, and devious, and has continued to somehow escape my grasp. I have tried to lay siege to his temple, time and time again, but to no avail. My siege last night failed, and the cost of that failure is high. The Fox is devious, his punishments unorthodox. I must decorate my tree once a year with strange shapes and colors. ...and wear a red robe... something about delivering gifts to children. I don't know. Behold, the sun sets, but my anger is a new sun, bleeding red over the Temple of the Fox. This gives me a great idea. I will sneak down his chimney; he will never expect it!
  • The Fox: HA! Get logs for the fireplace! He will attack; how predictable. I have been anticipating this night; the trap is set. He should have learned his lesson. I must remind the fox cubs to leave cookies and milk out for our dear friend!
  • Mangle: I have a feeling you are getting coal in your stocking!
  • The Fox: This night marks the end of the Bear and his clan. He will remember this night; the night he was shown no mercy! Then again, if he wishes to suffer, maybe there is a better way. Yes, I know just the thing. That Bear will regret the day he crossed paths with me! Then again, I grow weary of this. I'm going on a vacation. Feed the dog. Wait, you are the dog. Feed yourself.

Episode 6 - Finale[]

  • The Bear: The sun sets, and the land returns to darkness. But today it promises a new light, for the Fox has fled these lands. For although my failures were many, it seems they can now be measured as a victory. But this is not the end. I will pursue the Fox. I will find him in whatever land he has fled to. It is my destiny; and it is his. But for now, I will eat these noodles.

Theories and Speculations[]

This section archives a lot of theories and speculation, which usually occurs from pre-release media, or just things that are still unknown, so please keep that in mind while reading. The page will continue to be updated with the most accurate information as more solid evidence is supplied.

  • According to a popular theory by fans from The Freddy Files Updated Edition, the rivalry between the Bear and the Fox could be a metaphor to Henry Emily and William Afton's relationship, respectively. However it's unknown of what Mangle is supposed to represent. It's possible that Mangle probably represents William's daughter Elizabeth Afton as Mangle is assisting the Fox throughout the intermission.[1] It can also be told that both the words of the Bear and the Fox do not actually translate into what is written in the captions, but something similar to William and Henry arguing.
  • Another interpretation of the show is that it represents the relationship between the Crying Child and his Older Brother; with Elizabeth again as Mangle.

Trivia[]

Temple Of The Fox Set

The Fox's McFarlane construction set.

  • The Fox has his own McFarlane building set.
  • As this intermission was entirely dubbed in Japanese with English subtitles, all three characters are voiced by Yoon Ho.
  • While the subtitles of every cutscene is consistent, it appears that the audio is somewhat randomized, using a selection of Japanese dialogue each for the Bear, the Fox, and Mangle.
  • The show is a parody of samurai-theme anime such as Samurai Champloo.
  • It is implied that the Bear has had earlier encounters with the Fox as the series starts with him taking care of a giant frog that was forced upon him.
  • When the Fox is first seen in each episode (excluding episode 6), his eyepatch-like wrap is covering his right eye, and a scar can be seen underneath it. But in the scene after, the oversight shows the eyepatch-like wrap and scar switching to the Fox's left eye, and stay like that for the rest of the episode.
