Animatronic Transmitter Earpieces are items that appears in the Five Nights at Freddy's novel series. It was designed by Charlotte Emily for her robotics project.
Description[]
The earpieces was made from a hearing aid. It is made of clear plastic with wiring inside, and a tiny computer chip.
In The Twisted Ones, Charlie used it to interact with her two robot heads. They usually only speak to each other and ignore everything else, but the earpiece makes the heads believe that the wearer is one of them, and will recognize and speak to the wearer.
In The Fourth Closet, the earpieces are reverse-engineered so the wearer is now invisible to the animatronics. It is used to protect themselves from their attacks.

The Twisted Ones[]
After using Theodore’s parts for her project, she found a way to communicate with her project using a hearing aid. She developed a way to use the two hearing aids onto her project.
In Chapter 4, she showed the project along with the earpieces to John.
The Fourth Closet[]
In Chapter 9, John had an idea and told Charlie if she can reverse the functionality of the earpieces. Charlie doubted but John convinced her to at least try. John after his conversation with Charlie, sent Carlton to find the earpieces in Jessica’s house since she had all of Charlie’s old stuff boxed up in a closet.
Carlton arrived at Jessica’s house and found the earpieces. He was told that all he had to do switch the wires located inside the casing, he did and tested the earpieces, and it worked. When he finished doing that, Carlton felt someone near and was startled by Baby, disguised as Charlie. After Carlton’s deadly confrontation with Baby, he still had the earpieces with him and left the house.
The earpieces are later used by Jessica, Marla, Carlton, and the kidnapped children to try to escape Circus Baby's Pizza.
